Job Description

• A leading agricultural organisation is looking for an experienced Technical Specialist - Dairy to join their team in Klerksdorp.
• This role is suited to someone with a strong background in dairy nutrition, technical advisory and sales, who enjoys working directly with customers and helping dairy producers improve performance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B Agric / B.Sc. Agric, or a 3-year Agricultural Diploma.
• Registered Professional Nutritionist with SACNASP.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar technical dairy role.
• Experience in selling and marketing.
• Strong understanding of dairy nutrition.
• Valid Code 08/EB driver's licence.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Milling background would be advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive sales and support the company's Dairy product range across existing and prospective customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular farm and customer visits.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets, while growing volumes and margins.
• Provide technical support and advice relating to dairy nutrition and product performance.
• Monitor dairy industry trends, competitor activity and market developments.
• Identify customer needs and develop solutions through effective key account management.
• Train and support local Dairy Technical Advisors.
• Monitor product performance and gather production information from customers.
• Assist with product development and market initiatives.
• Provide technical input on forage production, including dryland and irrigated pastures and other forage crops.
• Participate in dairy study groups, trade shows and industry activities.
• Prepare customer visit reports, sales reports and other required technical and management reports.
• Assist with dairy sector planning, product registrations and relevant administration.
• Work closely with customers, technical teams and internal product management.
