Responsibilities:

 The purpose of the role is to participate in the design and development of complex financial platform solutions for a multi-national Financial Service Group. The successful candidate will form part of a team working on the software design initiatives required by large IT projects, mentor junior members of the development team in the discipline of system and solution design, adhering to and complying with the company’s standards and policies. The day-to-day role will require the successful candidate to work within the multi-disciplined team to provide technical leadership, development, testing and maintain the Group’s digital platforms.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of Java development experience
• Tertiary degree (BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related technology degree)
• Extensive experience in leading technical teams
• Proven record in leading offshore teams in India
• Fluently speak Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada
• Proficiency in Java and associated/complementary technology stack.
• Cloud-based development experience
• Application in integration experience
• Relevant experience on the different software development lifecycle
• methodologies (Scrum, Agile)
• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories, SQL, web application development and security.
• Experience with TDD (Test Driven Development)
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
• Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
• Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems and processes
• Spring Framework, Hibernate, SQL Databases (MySQL, MSSQL, etc), Rest API, Service Architecture
• Advantageous: Grails/Groovy, Decisioning Tools like Drools, Containers,
• JavaScript, financial applications background, BPMN, DevOps
