Technical Writer (Fixed-Term Contract) - Edenvale, at Barron

JOB PURPOSE

• The purpose of the Technical Writer is to create good quality production documents that meet relevant standards and contribute to the company’s product Quality Improvement Projects and Quality Systems. This will include documenting standard operating procedures for different machine operations and processes for the Production & Planning Departments.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS

• Write Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Inspection Standards, Forms and Guidelines for the Embroidery, Digital & Display, Gifting and Planning Departments.
• Developing, reviewing and implementing Control Plans, FMEA and Flow Charts.
• Production documents and records control. (Issue drawings and Control Plans to Production Floor).
• Process evaluation and implementation.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND JOB-RELATED KNOWLEDGE

• MS office knowledge
• Be self-motivated and able to multi-task under high pressure.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, influence others and coordinate with others to ensure objectives are met.
• Have excellent communication (verbal and written).
• Have excellent organizational skills.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 1 year experience as a technical writer or a similar role
• Editing and information design

QULIFICATIONS

• NQF 6 in Industrial Engineering
