Technician Civil Maintenance – Paterson Grade C3 at Airports Company South Africa

An exciting opportunity exists at Bram Fischer International Airport for an experienced Technician Civil within Operations Management Division.

Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Maintenance Engineering, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

•   Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset.
•  Ensure safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
•  Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
•  Provide input into the development of maintenance planning programme and execution thereof.
•  Utilisation of enterprise asset management system.
•  Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
•  Maintain and/or manage material and spares.
•  Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
•  Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
•  Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
•  Adherence to municipal by-laws.
•  Manage Service Level Agreement (maintenance and supply).
•  Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required.
•  Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
•  Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements.
•  Engage with relevant stakeholders on report findings.
•  Provide relevant and specialised technical support in area of expertise to relevant stakeholders to
•  ensure achievement of objectives.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

•  National Diploma Civil Engineering is essential.
•  3 years operational experience in Infrastructure Maintenance is essential.
