Technician I Security Systems at Sasol

Purpose of Job

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of the access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence systems for the Sasolburg, Natref and Mining and the Pipelines.

Key Accountabilities

• Execution of maintenance on the  security systems.
• Troubleshooting and repairing of various security systems.
• Installation and configuration of security systems
• Gathering of information independently.
• Managing own work and development.
• Follow procedures, norms and policies.
• Demonstrate ability to understand customer requirements and plan accordingly.
• Configure and troubleshooting of wireless networks
• Demonstrate computer skills  and ability to utilize available applications/tools.

Formal Education

• National Diploma/Diploma in Electrical Engineering Light Current.

Drivers’ license code B.

• PSIRA Grade C registration will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technician.
• Experience on the maintenance of one or more of the following systems: access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence.
• Knowledge of Milestone XProtect, XTIME, Honeywell will be an added advantage
