    Manager Security Sasolburg

    Purpose of Job

    • To manage the implementation of the security strategy and vision.
    • To identify and assess internal and external security risks.
    • To align the strategy of the service delivery with business requirements regarding Sasol Group security standards and Sasol Group directions.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage associated security strategic programmes and priorities.
    • Enhance security services and monitor compliance with agreed KPI's, Service Level Commitments (SLCs), and customer expectations.
    • Partner with internal BUs to customise security needs and create a balance between operations/business and security objectives.
    • Optimise utilisation of resources and control cost effectively within allocated budget. Identify, address, and report deviations.
    • Prepare and deliver consolidated reporting and reviews of budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to security services.
    • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting by the service delivery team of statistical data and analysis.
    • Provide accurate and current assessment of security service objectives, cost savings, and improvements.
    • Develop and maintain security infrastructure to ensure alignment to Security industry best practices.
    • Follow up on the safe and effective provision of security services.
    • Evaluate security preparedness by utilising technology as a force multiplier and improving the tactical capacity.
    • Provide feedback to management and relevant stakeholders on the security cost operating model and new projects and initiatives.
    • Enforce compliance with National Key Points (NKP) requirements, security and safety legislations, codes of practice, and Sasol Group standards.
    • Survey the effective management of security relevant documentation and legal appointments to enable sustainable operations.
    • Monitor the proper implementation of continuous improvements to ascertain alignment with security industry best practices and the sound utilisation of technology.
    • Direct the identification of customer needs and delivery upon them.
    • Negotiate deliverables, develop SLCs, and track achievement of targets.
    • Apply evidence-based SHE practices, in alignment with set standards, to ensure safe operations.
    • Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the security industry to share knowledge and best practices about the national security.
    • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge.
    • Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.
    • Manage team performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Sasol Group.

    Artisan Analyser Mechanician (Spec/Snr/Gr1) x3

    Purpose of Job

    • An Artisan Analyser Mechanician supports production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, and utilising all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant

    Key Accountabilities

    • Proven competence in pre-identified areas per discipline of the plant/mine/equipment/systems.
    • Understand and use the plant maintenance documentation system.
    • Understand planning work management system.
    • Relevant plant/mine specific/basic process knowledge.
    • Compliance of Safety Management Systems e.g. IMS, MBO, etc.
    • Able to apply emergency procedures.
    • Read, interpret, and implement task risk assessment.
    • Hazard identification/task risk assessments.
    • Participates in daily morning meetings to discuss work assignments.
    • Support the goals and vision of the business by meeting deadlines.
    • Provides adequate feedback to supervisor on work progress.

    • 2 Years’ experience as a Senior Artisan to become a Specialist Artisan
    • 2 Years’ experience as an Artisan Grade 1 Artisan to become a Senior Artisan
    • 18 months experience as an Artisan Grade 2 to become an Artisan Grade 1

    Senior/Specialist Artisan Instrument Mechanician

    Purpose of Job

    • An Artisan supports production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, and utilising all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant

    Key Accountabilities

    • Execution of tasks associated with maintenance inspections and strategies including alarm and trip testing
    • Calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, including control valves, level, flow, pressure and temperatures
    • Calibrate and replace transmitters
    • Participate in the maintenance of Control Systems, including fault finding/diagnostics, alarm management, basic software engineering & configuration, maintaining plant DCS hardware
    • Maintain ESD systems and function
    • Outline the purpose of cause-and-effect diagrams
    • Conduct inspections on classified equipment and logging of deviations
    • Conduct repairs and replacements on classified equipment
    • An ability to read and interpret instrument loop drawings, control logic diagrams, data sheets and associated technical documents
    • Knowledge of EX and IS standards for hazardous areas
    • Installation, testing and commissioning of instrumentation in accordance with Sasol specifications
    • Proactive identification of instrumentation defects and mal-functioning Implementation of preventative maintenance activities. (Schedule work)
    • Need strong instrumentation and control system skills to do proper fault-finding and preventive maintenance
    • Conduct data extraction and analysis from PLC during fault-finding exercises (fault finding, trends etc.)
    • Understand and use the plant maintenance documentation system
    • Understand planning work management system
    • SAP experience will be an advantage

    Formal Education

    • Grade 12 with Math’s, Science & English with the NQF 4 Occupational Trade Qualification and Red Seal
    • Driver’s license (minimum code 8)
    • Must have own transport and own transport for standby purposes

    Material Controller Gr 2 x2

    Purpose of Job

    • Operation (monitoring, control, operation of Reach Stacker, loading and offloading of Isotainers and Containers) of facilities of the Container Depot area for the fulfillment of orders of chemical products within the framework of a safe, trouble-free and economic operation with special consideration of compliance with all official/internal regulations, reporting obligations/laws on plant safety, occupational safety and environmental protection. Special focus on identifying Isotainer and Container numbers and information correctly.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Independent operation (commissioning, monitoring, shutdown) of all Container Depot and sub-systems belonging to the operation on the basis of specified work instructions and on the instructions of the Lead Controller
    • Control and monitoring of Container Depot Planning
    • Control of the plant status of Reach Stacker
    • Loading and off-loading of product and material
    • Ensure forklift is constantly in a safe operable condition
    • Do checks on Isotainers and Containers when receiving and dispatching therof
    • Carrying out cleaning work and special tasks (e.g. in the context of shutdowns and inspections)
    • Independent recognition and completion of tasks in the company
    • Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
    • Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.

    Technician I Security Systems

    Purpose of Job

    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of the access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence systems for the Sasolburg, Natref and Mining and the Pipelines.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Execution of maintenance on the  security systems.
    • Troubleshooting and repairing of various security systems.
    • Installation and configuration of security systems

    • PSIRA Grade C registration will be an added advantage.

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technician.
    • Experience on the maintenance of one or more of the following systems: access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence.
    • Knowledge of Milestone XProtect, XTIME, Honeywell will be an added advantage
