Technician: UHT Filling Support at Clover S.A. Proprietary Limited

Job Advert Summary    

• We are looking for an experienced UHT Filling Support Technician with strong Tetra Pak expertise to support production operations at our Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) branch. The role focuses on training, technical support, and driving continuous improvement within the UHT packaging environment. The successful candidate will assist in optimising equipment performance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring best practices in the operation and maintenance of Tetra Pak packaging systems.

Requirements    

• DEGREE 
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level  
• Business English: Fluent 
• Computer literacy (Intermediate) 
• Work in confined spaces 
• Work shifts/weekends/public holidays when needed

Duties and Responsibilities    

Conduct high level packaging machine fault finding  

• Support Technician: Maintenance with fault finding in the event when the Technician: Maintenance is unable to restore the machine to an operational condition within a reasonable time  
• Ensure modifications comply with standards  
• Determine causes of failures (fault finding)  
• Optimise control systems regarding processes and production lines  
• Provide technical and specialist support  

Ensure continuous improvement and reduction of short stops  

• Ascertain root causes of short stops as per requirement of Plant Engineer (PLMS Meeting)  
• Present findings in formal manner to Plant Engineer and Maintenance Manager  
• Assist with implementation of preventive actions  
• Assist with preventative maintenance in ad-hoc situations, but not be responsible for  
• Improve Line Mechanical Machine Efficiency (LMME), Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) & Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)  

Improve skill levels of Technicians  

• Provide system specific training in accordance with the TetraPak methodology to Technicians: Maintenance; packing machine Artisan: Millwrights & Operators  

Perform senior standby  

• Support Technician: Maintenance with fault finding in the event the Technician: Maintenance is unable to restore the machine to an operational condition within a reasonable time
