    Technologist/Technician | Clinpath | Glynn Eden

    As a Technologist | Technician | Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services by:

    • Processing routine laboratory bench work to ensure the efficient and accurate analysis of specimens.
    • Performing laboratory administration tasks to support effective operational and reporting processes.
    • Conducting quality control procedures and adhering to laboratory standards to maintain accuracy and compliance.
    • Training and supporting laboratory staff to promote continuous learning, development, and best practice.
    • Providing technical support within the laboratory to ensure seamless workflow, timely processing, and reporting of specimens.
    • Building and maintaining positive client relationships to enhance service excellence and uphold the Ampath brand.

    What you'll bring

    Qualifications

    Required 

    • National Certificate in Medical Technician (Clinical Pathology)
    • National Diploma or Certificate in Medical Technology | (Clinical Pathology) or
    • Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Laboratory Sciences (BHSc MLS)
    • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology),Medical Laboratory Scientist

    Experience

    Required

    • 1 to 2 years' working experience within a pathology laboratory environment

    Skills & Knowledge

    Required

    • Basic computer literacy and the ability to use laboratory-related systems and technology effectively
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
    • Ability to perform basic numerical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with laboratory data and results
    • Understanding of laboratory quality control principles and procedures
    • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analysers and equipment
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities
