MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- To manage and coordinate all telephonic communication and systems within the hospital in a professional manner to ensure efficient and effective communication on behalf of Mediclinic
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Operate the hospital Telephone system daily as per policy and procedure
- Attend to all calls timeously in a professional manner ensuring that client expectations are exceeded
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained as per policy and procedure
- Check the Hospital alarm system daily and notify the relevant department in case of an emergency as per the Alarm Emergency Manual
- Follow the Hospital Emergency Preparedness Process in the event of an emergency as per Disaster and Emergency Plan
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12 or equivalent
- DESIRED EDUCATION: None
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
- DESIRED EXPERIENCE Experience in private healthcare or similar environment; Switchboard operations and systems; hospital emergency procedures
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Hospital Disaster and Emergency processes; procedures and policies
- Switchboard systems and operations
