Temp Technical Training Specialist at Distell

Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in Springs. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Training Manager based in Stellenbosch.

Key Performance Areas would include (but are not limited to):

• Presenting technical training on packaging equipment to both Distell internal standards and as registered Skills Programs or Learnerships.
• Conduct NQF competency assessments.
• Moderate NQF competency assessments.
• Assessing training effectiveness through both written tests and practical evaluation.
• Developing training material and procedures.
• Processing the formal administration required for accredited programs.
• Compiling a technical training needs analysis, based on assessment and audit outcomes.
• Perform or facilitate audits on the condition of equipment and the maintenance thereof.
• Provide consultation in the fields of packaging and cellar operations, equipment, and maintenance.
• Conduct training for Africa and International operations.
• Undertake special assignments of a technical nature.

 
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Minimum of five years’ maintenance experience of a specialized nature in a beverage packaging environment.
• Display in depth knowledge of processes and practical experience on FMCG packaging equipment.
• Display very good technical fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the facilitation of technical training, displaying sound skills in the explanation of practical procedures, practices, and processes of a technical nature.
• Display sound knowledge of the apprenticeship process.
• Administration of Skills Program and Learnerships documentation.
• Display computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Candidate must be willing to travel.

Qualification required:

• Qualified Mechanical/Electrical Artisan (NTC3 & Trade Test Certificate)/ equivalent qualification
• Accredited as a NQF Assessor.
• Moderator accreditation will be advantageous.
