Role Summary
Strategically transform the I&T testing area from a project led approach to a product led approach. This includes leading and coordinating the end to end testing and user acceptance testing of solutions developed by the I&T team, ensuring that the required quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute a testing strategy for solution end to end and user acceptance testing.
• Testing strategy to include shifting testing left from a project led approach to a product led approach.
• Set and continually manage testing expectations with project managers, scrum masters, testing teams and other stakeholders.
• Support multiple agile and waterfall delivery teams with test planning and test execution.
• Provide strategic guidance on the creation and on-going development of an automated testing framework for system, regression and user acceptance testing and manage and control the successful implementation thereof.
• Establish and execute a standardised testing management and defect fix tracking solution.
• Organize and lead initiatives to improve test processes and extend the use of testing tools / frameworks.
• Co-ordinate the use and maintenance of test environments ensuring best practices for data quality and consistency.
• Clearly identify testing stakeholders and keep them updated and engaged on an ongoing basis.
• Co-ordinate the user acceptance testing by multiple regional stakeholder teams.
• Analyse programme testing deliverables and where required, ensure that corrective action is taken.
• Resolve programme testing issues.
• Prepare executive testing status reports for business stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of best practices and tools for testing execution and management.
   

Key Skills Required

• Excellent understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives.
• Extensive programme management experience on the delivery of large IT systems.
• Experience delivering projects using an Agile delivery methodology.Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework would be an advantage.
• Extensive testing experience with the organisation’s Tier One software applications.
• Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and delivery processes (including waterfall and agile methodologies).
• A proven track record of system testing including an understanding of testing techniques and methods.
• Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing approaches

Requirements, Education & Certification Required

• Degree in Computer Science
• Certification or post graduate learning in Testing will be an advantage
• At least 10 years’ relevant or related work experience
