TFC Maintenance Artisan Electrician (Steelpoort) at Samancor Chrome

Purpose Of the Job:

• To safely maintain and repair low and high voltage electrical equipment

Job Responsibilities:

Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:

• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)

Customers:

• Ensure Customer Satisfaction
• Carry out standby duties when required.

Work execution:

• Complete a breakdown work order on SAP
• Create a notification on SAP
• Providing correct feedback on SAP
• Executing work
• Applying fault finding techniques
• Conduct regular plant inspections
• Maintaining and/or repairing low and high voltage electrical equipment
• Mechanical and electrical isolation

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:

• Gr12 / N3 & Trade Test
• 3 Years’ relevant experience past trade test
• High Voltage trained and relevant experience
• Conveyor belt experience (Safety devices)
• Knowledge of general electrical distribution in plants and buildings
• Transformer maintenance experience
• Knowledge of air compressors
• Knowledge of Siemens Simocodes (Wiring and Programming)
• Knowledge of VSD’s and soft starters (Danfoss and Siemens Sinamics G150)
• Knowledge of Liquid starter
• Fault finding on electrical circuits 220V, 380V , 33/11KV
• Must have own tools
• Must have own transport
• Palletizing and Sintering Plant experience (Advantage)
