    TikTok Content Creator (Cape Town CBD)

    Description

    This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and creative content creator to collaborate directly with TikTok and our talented creative teams to deliver best in class content for the TikTok space.

    This role calls for an ambitious creative who is an early adopter of all things digital and has a salacious appetite for trends. Ideally you enjoy tackling a trend, putting your epic ideas into proposals, bringing those ideas to life through your creative skill set in the form of social video and then waiting for the likes to come rolling in.

    Your day-to-day will require you to collaborate with our current creative teams who understand our clients' needs, translating their ideas (and yours) into TikTok-able ideas, collaboration time with TikTok, executing upon those ideas alongside your dedicated Social Media Manager or working with our talented production team to deliver on videos that you will tackle with cap-cut to be ready for activation.Your day-to-day will require you to collaborate with our current creative teams who understand our clients' needs, translating their ideas (and yours) into TikTok-able ideas, collaboration time with TikTok, executing upon those ideas alongside your dedicated Social Media Manager or working with our talented production team to deliver on videos that you will tackle with cap-cut to be ready for activation.

    When you are not working with our creative teams your time will be centered around tactical proposals and executions for TikTok that you can pitch back to our creative teams and clients. To do this we will connect you with our social department to ensure ongoing access to online listening, trends, insights, and brand opportunities.

    Skills:

    • Pre-Planned, Ad-Hoc and Quick Turn Around Visual Content Creation
    • Production: Art Direction, Videography, Photography, Illustration & Design.
    • Postproduction: Editing, retouching, FA etc. On the most part this will be done through TikTok tools like cap-cut
    • Effective collaboration with digital design, copywriting, social media, and strategy department
    • Excellent proposal and presentation skills.
    • Ability to multitask several creative projects and able to work under tight deadlines
    • Be on the forefront of trends and innovations on the local & international landscape for social media, photography, videography and editing techniques.

    Requirements

    Skills:

    Minimum education:  

    • 3-5 years' relevant experience (against this job spec)
    • Portfolio displaying your own conceptual and strategic design online
    • Proven experience working on TikTok like content
    • Experience with different types of production equipment
    • Experience with TikTok software
    • Experience in designing brand content for online platforms including social, email, website, app and/or paid media
    • Responsible and trustworthy
    • Excellent creative skills and a great eye for detail

    Technical skills/knowledge:

    • Design Platforms: Adobe Creative Cloud & Figma
    • Photography Platforms: Photoshop & Lightroom, Social in app Editing
    • Videography Platforms: After Effects, Premier, Social in app Editing
    • Social Platform Experience: Facebook & Instagram Studio, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, Whats App etc.
    • Bonus: Digital Platforms: Google Web Design
