Traffic Officer at Matzikama Local Municipality

Salary: R 308 712 per annum (TASK job level T10, subject to TASK job evaluation) 

 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• To render traffic services regarding the promotion of road safety, the enforcement of road traffic legislation / regulations and enforcement of municipal by-laws ∙ Performs activities associated with traffic services to the public, fire fighting services in the different towns, driver licences, learner licences, testing of roadworthiness of vehicles at the roadworthy test centre ∙ Attending to administrative reporting and recordkeeping requirements ∙ Performs other general traffic officer duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 (NQF level 4) ∙ Traffic Officer Diploma ∙ Examiner of Driving Licences Diploma Grade A ∙ Examiner of Vehicles Diploma Grade A ∙ 2 years relevant experience ∙ Computer Literate ∙ Must work shifts ∙ Valid Code EC and A driver's licence ∙ No criminal record and proof thereof from SAPS to be provided ∙ Competency to handle a fire arm ∙ Proficiency in at least 2 official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans and English or Xhosa) ∙ Good human relations and communication skills.
