    Job Description
    Program Design and Implementation

    •             Develop training curricula, instructor manuals, learner guides and other materials, which meet identified learning goals.
    •             Develops and aligns course material that meet identified learning goals
    •             Maintains the currency and accuracy of all learning materials through regular updates.
    •             Researches literature and other resources to guarantee services are developed to the most current evidence-based practices on the subject/s.
    •             Designs pre and post training assessment tools to measure learning and performance as a result of learning initiatives.

     

    Skills Development Delivery

    •             Operates within agreed training schedule and meets quality standards.
    •             Delivers a variety of internal workshops, courses and programmes whether through giving presentations, facilitating learning in small groups, mentoring and/or coaching in the field.
    •             Identify the most appropriate and cost-effective training approach, including selection of training media.
    •             Uses adult learner methodologies.
    •             Delivers induction and/or on-the-job training.
    •             Ensures completion of learning assessments and provides relevant feedback to learners based on results.
    •             Deliver training utilising the most current learning resources available.
    •             Responsible for the delivery of all product, process, systems and soft skills training.
    •             Delivers operational specific learning and development interventions.

     

    Conducting Needs Analysis

    •             Conduct training needs analysis to support development of instructional designs.
    •             Proposes solutions to fill any identified gaps in competence.
    •             Collaborates with operations management to ensure that competency gaps are filled.
    •             Ensures knowledge of business issues is current.
    •             Identifies trends and common challenges in business units and makes recommendations

     

    Administration and Record Keeping

    •             Perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document learning and development programs
    •             Maintain data bases to track progress of participants and program scheduling.
    •             Accurately records all learning and development interventions
    •             Provides management with relevant training reports
    •             Ensures training manuals and aids are prepared for training.
    •             Makes logistical arrangements for training including distribution of training invitations, consolidation of confirmations and tracking of cancellations and no-shows.

     

    Collaboration

    •             Maintaining and developing relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
    •             Prepare and implement a Regional Training Plan in consultation with the Training Manager  and Regional Teams (internal and external)
    •             Participate in special projects and joint working arrangements within the region in consultation with the Training Manager.
    •             Conducts evaluations and feedback sessions for the operational team and the client.
    •             Undertake such other duties as may be agreed from time to time with the Training Manager and/or Regional Manager.

    Qualifications

    •             At least 3 (three) years of experience as a trainer in a professional training position
    •             At least 1 years’ experience delivering Sales and Soft Skills training in a formal training environment
    •             Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
    •             Ability to present and teach technical information to others
    •             Fluency in indigenous languages relevant to the area of recruitment
    •             A demonstrated ability in designing learning material and assessment tools for adult learners.
    •             A demonstrated ability to shape and run the learning process for adult learners.
    •             Excellent knowledge of adult learning theory and practice, facilitation and training techniques including instructional design methods and assessment procedures and principles.
    •             Good knowledge of occupational sector (Telecommunications)
    •             Good knowledge of current issues and best practice in occupational sector (Telecommunications    
    •             An understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to excellence face-to-face consumer education
