• Unitrans is looking to employ an experienced Transport Application Specialist.
• The role includes: implementing and supporting simplified system solutions to complex business problems within the transport order – revenue business process cycle through the enhancement and maintenance of systems, platforms and processes that are optimum, automated and innovative.

Minimum Requirements

• Required qualification: 4 year Degree / NQF level 7
• Years of experience: Up to 5 years
• Professional Body: IITPSA - Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve relevant system related issues.
• Collaborate with developers and vendors to secure infrastructure being developed for end-user needs and ensure achievement of all business objectives.
• Assist and facilitate system integration points with quality assurance.
• Work and collaborate with end users and provide support to infrastructure facilities and ensure smooth adoption.
• Provide post-implementation support and on-going support measures to ensure technology is utilized.
• Assist management with program and project progress reports.
• Communicate with the software developers and engineers to address any problem in the program logic.
• Train the employees on new application features.
• Provide and establish business process documentation as a result of Transport Application implementations.
• Develop relationships with business units, external customers where applicable and vendors.
