    • An exciting opportunity exists for a Treasurer to join our Finance Team in Cape Town. The purpose of this role is to ensure all accounts are prefunded in the most efficient manner to ensure the effective running of the operation. The Treasurer reports directly to the Group Treasury Manager. In this role you will be responsible for constantly monitoring the accounts trough and ensuring all accounts are sufficiently prefunded. This individual must reconcile daily and monthly transactions with partners. Internal Liaison takes place with the Accounts team. External liaison takes place with all external Pay-out partners.

    Duties and Responsibilities (include but is not limited to):

    • Liquidity and cash management: Ensure all accounts are prefunded in the most efficient way while balances the risks of over and under funding
    • Preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly cash flow forecast for each Pay-out partner
    • Ensure cashflow spreadsheet is always updated
    • Execution of foreign exchange deals with banks
    • Monitor bank fees negotiate as needed and explore opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency
    • Verify weekly expense payments
    • Bank Account maintenance and analysis
    • Facilitate the opening and closing of bank accounts with business in accordance with the policies, rules and procedures provided
    • All bank related documents are electronic / paper-filed
    • Assist in maintaining a bank account database and ensure completeness thereof
    • Implement and strengthen controls related to bank account database and cash management system
    • To build and maintain working relationships with partners
    • Resolve queries effectively and timeously
    • To provide support to the treasury team
    • Assist with providing ad hoc information to stakeholders within the Company
    • To manage own professional and self-development

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
    • Finance related degree/diploma (Essential)
    • Understanding and speaking of a Zimbabwean/Malawian/other relevant language (Desirable)
    • Knowledge of money transfer procedures
    • Knowledge of treasury management
    • Knowledge of Mukuru products
    • Knowledge of African currencies
    • Knowledge of accounting principles
    • Knowledge of EFTs
    • Knowledge with AML practices
    • Knowledge of internal controls regarding banking
