    Treasury Analyst

    • A prestigious investment firm in Cape Town is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join their highly respected team. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the world of innovative, sustainable finance, supporting a market-leading product that has rapidly grown to manage over €5 billion in assets.

    What you'll do:

    As a Treasury Analyst, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around supporting the full spectrum of treasury activities for a suite of sophisticated investment products.

    • Manage cash and liquidity across funds by forecasting needs, handling excess cash, and supporting deal funding
    • Execute foreign exchange trades in line with fund and treasury policies to ensure optimal outcomes
    • Monitor currency exposures and assist in implementing hedging strategies to mitigate market risks
    • Maintain debt facility records, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure compliance with agreements
    • Reconcile daily cash transactions on the TMS, addressing exceptions to ensure accuracy
    • Coordinate monthly subscription and redemption cycles with transfer agents and reconcile receipts
    • Set up, manage, and analyse Money Market Funds to maximise yield within risk parameters
    • Ensure accurate and timely settlement of treasury transactions with clear documentation
    • Open new bank accounts by liaising with banking partners and completing required paperwork
    • Use the TMS for trade execution, reporting, analytics, and improving treasury processes through automation

    What you bring:

    To excel as a Treasury Analyst, you will bring proven experience from previous roles where you have supported complex treasury operations

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher professional qualification in Finance or Treasury such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ACT
    • 2-3 years in a similar treasury analyst role within financial services or asset management environments
    • Experience working with open-ended fund structures is strongly preferred
    • Solid understanding of foreign exchange markets including practical knowledge of hedging techniques and liquidity management
    • Proficiency in using Treasury Management Systems along with advanced Excel skills
    • Effective communication skills are vital for collaborating across functions internally
    • A dependable team player mindset combined with high attention to detail
    • Excellent organisational abilities enable you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining thoroughness under pressure
    • Ability to work independently when required yet remain supportive within a collaborative team environment
    • Strong time management skills allow you to meet deadlines consistently while contributing positively to ongoing process improvements
