Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, mechatronics or related field, with a keen focus on drones, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related role in service and support.
Must have completed your RPL(Remote Pilot License (VLOS)) license with proven flight experience.
Experience in customer technical training, both in classroom and field settings, comfortable and confident presentation skills
A strong passion for the commercial agricultural drone market.
Proactive with the ability to prioritize tasks and achieve goals with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both locally and internationally.
Technical expertise combined with strong interpersonal relationship skills and a knack for sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Execute and oversee the drone service and repair strategy in Gauteng, working closely with agricultural drone customers and contractors.
Develop and maintain service and support documentation (warranty) for third-party authorized service providers, ensuring consistent, high-quality post-sale service.
Manage and nurture technical relationships with business partners, ensure they have the training and the parts on hand for excellent service.
As a licensed Remote Pilot (RPL), lead demonstration days, training sessions, and ongoing support in the region.
Become a XAG Product expert and highlight the key benefits of the XAG drone range and provide technical assistance to close sales deals with potential customers.
