 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Maintenance of the reserve’s fleet of vehicles, including preventative and ad hoc maintenance
• Ordering of parts and ensuring their timely delivery
• Maintenance of a neat and organized workshop with an adequate stock of frequently used spares
• Supervision and training of workshop staff
• Contribution towards sustainability goals by constantly seeking ways to make vehicle and workshop operations more environmentally friendly
• Repairs and maintenance of gate motors and solar and electrical water pumps
• Effective financial management of workshop operations through the administration and recording of orders, stock control and working within agreed budgets
• Record-keeping of vehicle service schedules and other related administrative tasks
• Ensuring quality and care of workshop equipment and products in accordance with standard operating procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•  Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, mechatronics or related field, with a keen focus on drones, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related role in service and support.
• Must have completed your RPL(Remote Pilot License (VLOS)) license with proven flight experience.
• Experience in customer technical training, both in classroom and field settings, comfortable and confident presentation skills
• A strong passion for the commercial agricultural drone market.
• Proactive with the ability to prioritize tasks and achieve goals with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. 
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both locally and internationally.
• Technical expertise combined with strong interpersonal relationship skills and a knack for sales.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

•  Execute and oversee the drone service and repair strategy in Gauteng, working closely with agricultural drone customers and contractors.
• Develop and maintain service and support documentation (warranty) for third-party authorized service providers, ensuring consistent, high-quality post-sale service.
• Manage and nurture technical relationships with business partners, ensure they have the training and the parts on hand for excellent service.
• As a licensed Remote Pilot (RPL), lead demonstration days, training sessions, and ongoing support in the region.
• Become a XAG Product expert and highlight the key benefits of the XAG drone range and provide technical assistance to close sales deals with potential customers.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 Sales

• Achieve sales growth, at required margins, in line with the the company Agri bag strategy South Africa
• Maintain relationships with South African packers and agents and grow the sales of paper Agri bags into these sectors
• Expand the SA Agri bags business to new customers including the Northern Cape and other regions
• Establish the company as a trusted supplier of choice in the SA market International
• Interact with international retailers and the company’s Europe team to establish paper bags as a product of choice for Agri packaging
• Form relationships and get orders for paper Agri bags to supply international distributors of Agri bags, both for packing in South Africa and for export to other countries, as agreed.

 Customer service/fulfilment

• Understand and work within the company’s capability to meet promised customer order fulfilment and service levels.
• Work with the company operations and management teams to develop and implement a business operation and capacity that promotes year-long manufacture
• Establish and maintain clear and structured customer service agreements that enable the company to effectively meet customer requirements.

 Product Innovation

• Develop and promote product innovation and customer testing and acceptance in the company product offerings
• Drive and facilitate product verification and marketing material to get market acceptance of new Agri products
