The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for staff, doctors, and patients while ensuring high standards of clinical care, operational efficiency, and cost-effective unit management.
Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations within the CSSD and Theatre units to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
Lead training, orientation, and ongoing development of nursing and CSSD staff.
Manage stock and equipment effectively to reduce wastage, ensure accurate billing, and prevent misuse.
Promote quality patient care, customer service excellence, and effective communication within the unit.
Monitor and manage operational costs, including the cost-effective utilization of permanent and agency (locum) nursing staff.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
Requirements:
Diploma in General Nursing Science.
Diploma in Theatre Nursing.
Current SANC registration and proof of indemnity cover.
Minimum of three years post-basic clinical experience.
Computer literacy.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Proven leadership ability and ability to work effectively under pressure.
