Role Description

Looking for a junior to intermediate UX designer to join a team of designers and researchers to solve a variety of user-centred problems for product development as well as to work with a project-based agile software team, including a Project/Product Manager, developers, User Tester, etc. The ideal candidate will grow their skills as a UX Designer with a variety of problems to solve, and a variety of disciplines to collaborate with, as well as integrate with the larger design team and collaborate in continuously improving the design process and service.

Salary

• R26,000 - R38,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Understand the problem that the product needs to address
• Collaborate with the different roles in the team to produce the artefacts needed to build the software
• Understand the user’s journey through the product
• Produce relevant artefacts e.g.: job stories, user flows, information architecture, wireframes & prototypes
• Low & high fidelity design of product user interface
• Fulfil an important role within a bigger software team as well as collaborate with the other designers
• Stay updated with software improvements

Requirements

• Portfolio of design work
• A tertiary qualification in Multimedia and/or UI Design and/or UX Design
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in UX Design or related design field
