UX Writer at The Delta

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced UX Writer who demonstrates a user-centric mindset who will work in the UX team and be responsible for producing and editing copy for a variety of platforms and projects working with the growth, product, UI and marketing teams.

Some of the things you’ll do

• Writing clear and error-free content for websites and digital products (mobile apps, etc) that reflects the company’s voice.
• Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the company or target audience at hand.
• Meeting with clients to understand their message, brand voice and target audience.
• Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts.
• Create a content style guide outlining the writing principles and guidelines for the copy and content of the company/product.
• Proposing copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are approved.
• Working with clients to edit and modify the copy to meet their content expectations.
• Collaborating with growth, product, PR and marketing teams to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials.
• Edit and proofread copy as needed.
• Craft textual content for everything from digital copy, pitch-decks, sales collateral to well-researched articles.

What you’ll need

• 3+ years of previous experience working as a UX Writer or Copywriter preferably in a similar role, and a bachelor’s degree preferably in English or a related major.
• Good understanding of technology, design and behavioural psychology.
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation.
• Experience with SEO.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in product, marketing or advertising, web, brand messaging and promotional copy.
• Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively.
• Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and with a fast-paced team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to own projects, demonstrate good judgment when working with team members and client contacts, and take initiative.
• Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
• Customer-first, ABCD thinking mindset.
• Proactive, self-starter with an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Critical thinker and problem-solver who pays attention to detail.
• Ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

Our process

• Pre-screening (CV, LinkedIn, Portfolio, Assessment Questions, Video Intro).
• A 30-minute call to assess skill and experience and get to know each other with a relevant team lead.
• A face-to-face/online technical interview, possibly a whiteboard problem or take-home assignment.
• A deeper dive culture chat with our Chief People Officer and /other team members/leads.
• Reference checks (at least 2) and personal checks (socials, networks etc).
• An option of hanging out with the team (online/offline).
