Vision 2040 Stakeholder Management Support Officer at South African National Parks (SANParks)

Requirements

• Be in possession of a degree or national diploma in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Stakeholder Engagement Economics or Environment,
• 2 years experience in in stakeholder engagement.
• Comprehension of Public Relations, Media Relations, and Stakeholder Engagement Principles.
• Exposure to the communication environment in the public sector and/or state-owned entity will be an added advantage.
• Project management skills, computer literacy, and networking skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage and operate in a community environment.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and working with diverse stakeholders.
• Adaptability and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of advocacy and stakeholder engagement solutions for Vision 2040 implementation.
• Identify, analyse, and prioritize key stakeholders including community, government, NGOs, and private sector.
• Develop and maintain a stakeholder database to track engagement activities.
• Work with SANParks teams across the organisation to provide guidance and support as well as ensure

collaboration

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including communities, government, civil society, and private sector
• Provide support and advice on stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and communication
• Disseminate target communication materials, including newsletters, reports, and presentations to promote Vision 2040Ensure appropriate ongoing engagements are maintained and led at the appropriate levels at all time
• Co-ordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement events, workshops, and meetings
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in stakeholder engagement
