To perform troubleshooting and operate the Visual Inspection System, grade, wash, sort and polish softgel capsules in line with GMP standards against pre-determined rates.
Responsibilities:
Operate the tumblers and ensure lint free cloths are placed in the tumblers during the tumbling process, resetting the HMI to resume the cycle Remove product from tumblers, drying trollies, decant into specified containers and label
Verify product identification and batch numbers on tumblers and trolleys
Wash capsules with solvents in a capsule washer as per schedule
Do pre-start-up checks on the Visual Inspection System including the metal detector tests
Continuously inspect all product in blue bins
Sort capsules manually on the sorting table to identify defective capsules
Record relevant data on MES
Dispose of rejected capsules according to SOP and track the weight of rejected capsules
Maintain housekeeping standards in the department
Inspect and clean all equipment in the Visual Inspection area, sorting area and ensure safety devices are working effectively
Label all containers and trollies to avoid cross contamination.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent
1-year previous experience in a FMCG or pharmaceutical environment
Previous experience in production documentation, reconciliation and processes is essential
Previous sorting experience would be desired
GMP and basic knowledge of health and safety knowledge is essential.
