    VP Finance Operations (108111)

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • Lead the planning, implementation, managing and execution of business financial activities for the Energy Business Operations including Asset and Gas Services
    • Provide proactive financial decision support to business and act as a business partner to enable financially prudent decision making.
    • Drive performance management and embed integrated business planning within Energy Operations
    • Develop benchmarks and KPIs to monitor and track performance with an aim to improve efficiency and achieve first quartile performance over time
    • Implement digital opportunities to yield better decision making and access to real time information
    • Refine and standardize processes across Energy Operations and reduce activity to make the finance & IM function fit for purpose and energized
    • Oversee and enable the business to maintain statutory financial, legislative and regulatory compliance
    • Support Senior Vice Presidents responsible for operating platforms with data, insights, trends and appropriate risk management tools to maximise volume delivery, optimize costs and manage capital expenditure

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Enable the effective and efficient delivery of finance support to the business.
    • Implement and oversee sound financial planning (including budget, forecast, capital management & cash management).
    • Drive the accurate and timely preparation and signoff of board, group and Exco reporting of financial results to drive effective business decision making, including schedules for statutory reporting and integrated value chain impairment calculations.
    • Establish and maintain sound financial systems and processes, in line with guidelines and policies from the corporate office. Implement and drive standardisation and centralisation of financial processes and reporting in operations.
    • Establish and maintain sound and effective internal control environment (including SOX process), engagement with auditors during half­ year and year-end activities.
    • Oversee and ensure compliance to relevant laws and regulations for operations
    • Oversee the provision of Information Management support by identifying key business needs and creating a backlog for Business Services.
    • Maintain optimal organizational structure and ensure the recruitment, development and retention of a competent and diverse people. Enable the team to deliver on its mandate by driving performance and career development for individuals and team.

    Formal Education

    • University Bachelor's Honours Degree
