Ward Hostess Trainer at Empact Group

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training programs for ward hostesses to ensure they are knowledgeable in hospital procedures, patient care, and customer service
• Conduct ongoing training sessions, mentoring, evaluations and on the job training to enhance ward hostesses' skills and knowledge
• Monitor ward hostesses' performance and provide feedback and support as needed
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery
• Ensure ward hostesses adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times
• Act as a role model for ward hostesses by demonstrating a high level of professionalism and dedication to patient centricity 
• Bringing innovative ideas into this training role
• Develop and drive the criteria for people recognition
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in patient care and service delivery
• Custodian of compliance to the meal ordering system

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a management role or training role in a hospital or healthcare setting would be advantageous
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Knowledge of hospital procedures and patient care practice
• Able to communicate fluently in Zulu and English with a basic understanding of Xhosa
• Be able to work shifts, weekend and holidays
• Be able to travel cross province as required
• Great customer service skills
• Above average organisational skills
• Knowledge and understanding of food safety and hygiene
