Control the finished product stock holding at the 3P warehouse located in Johannesburg, including but not limited to the maintenance of control procedures for movement of finished goods, on site and off site.
Receive and document incoming finished stock from the manufacturing plants, imported from overseas locations as well as finished product received from other local manufacturers.
Ensure proper stock rotation at the 3P warehouse.
Do monthly stock take for the 3P warehouse and assist the Finance & Administration division in reconciling these stock takes.
Manage variances arising out of these stock takes. It is a requirement that the Julian production code of all stock is recorded at the time of the stock take.
Prepare both the 3P warehouse for the Financial Year end stock take at the appropriate time, as advised by the Senior Associates.
Ensure that the pre-determined process for receiving both “good” and “bad” returned finished product stock from delivery vehicles into your warehouse is fully adhered to.
Keep senior management in the Sales & Marketing division well informed, on a weekly basis, immediately after the preceding week’s stock take, of all finished product stock which is within 4 weeks of expiry and constantly follow up with them to ensure that plans are in place to move the said stock prior to expiry.
You are accountable for the authorising of time and attendance as well as overtime for all the associates under your control. You will also authorise and arrange leave schedules.
You will ensure the correct hand over of stock loaded into the company’s and other delivery vehicles and ensure that the accountability for that stock has been passed on to the delivery driver, ensuring that the necessary signature has been obtained and that other pre-determined processes have been followed. The loading procedure refers hereto.
You will ensure that the pre-determined process for receiving both “good” and “bad” returned finished product stock from delivery vehicles into your warehouse is fully adhered to.
You will ensure that the Transport Manager maintains the company delivery vehicles in a suitable condition and regularly services as required.
You will authorise all RFC’s, and take measures to reduce those caused by distribution.
You are accountable for the authorising of time and attendance as well as overtime for all the associates under your control. You will also authorise and arrange leave schedules.
You will continuously inspect the delivery fleet with respect to any damage caused thereto and report same to the Logistics GM.
