Job Description

• A leading South African healthcare company current has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant reporting to the Operations Manager, based at their Johannesburg Warehouse in Kempton Park.

Overview of the Role

• They are seeking a reliable, organised and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join their warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching of stock while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer service.
• Experience within the medical device or healthcare industry will be advantageous due to the nature of our products and stock control requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive incoming stock and verify quantities against delivery documentation.
• Pack and dispatch customer orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Accurately identify and handle products using product codes and batch information.
• Assist with stock replenishment and organisation within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Ensure all stock is stored correctly and safely.
• Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.
• Assist with housekeeping and ensure the warehouse remains clean, organised and compliant with company standards.
• Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and company procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries where required.
• Support the Operations Manager and warehouse team in achieving daily operational targets.
• Perform general warehouse duties as reasonably required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' warehouse experience
• Proven experience in: Picking and packing customer orders.
• Receiving and dispatching stock.
• Stock control and inventory processes.

Working with product codes and warehouse documentation.

• Previous experience within the medical, pharmaceutical or healthcare industrywill be advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and warehouse systems advantageous).
• Physically fit and able to perform manual warehouse duties.
• Reliable transport to and from Kempton Park - Pomona Area.
• Clear criminal record.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when required.

Remuneration

• Salary is negotiable, depending on qualifications, experience and overall suitability for the role.
• Working Hours are Monday to Friday from 08h00 - 17h00
