Warehouse Manager - Cape Town at Boxer Superstores

What We’re Looking For:

• A 3-year Supply Chain degree (required), with an Accounting diploma considered a plus.
• 7-10 years of experience in warehouse/logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership skills, with proven experience managing a large team.
• Ability to manage a PnL and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Expertise in WMS systems and RF scanning.
• A track record in continuous improvement within warehouse operations.
• Strong operational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finance & PnL Management: Maintain cost controls within budget, oversee financial reporting, and manage month-end close processes.
• DC Layout & Procedures: Optimize the layout for stock flow, collaborate on transport and WMS expenses, and manage logistics costs effectively.
• WMS Management: Work with the team to ensure smooth WMS operations and ensure service delivery.
• Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily operations, lead department managers and supervisors, and manage KPI targets.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Supervise equipment maintenance, assess costs, and implement necessary improvements.
• Staff Management: Lead recruitment, training, mentoring, and succession planning to build a high-performance team.
• Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment with daily audits and checks across the facility.
• Security: Monitor security systems and ensure the safety of all warehouse operations.
• Shrinkage Control: Manage loss prevention, including theft, damages, and errors in dispatch and receiving.
