    Senior Customer Service Officer - Cape Town

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) essential
    • 2-year Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Retail Management – advantageous
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar customer service/logistics environment
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
    • Understanding of the supply chain and FMCG retail operations
    • Warehouse and logistics planning experience
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    Delivery Schedule Coordination

    • Receive and verify transporter schedules from the transport management system
    • Cross-check accuracy and communicate delivery ETAs to store managers
    • Enable stores to plan staff around incoming deliveries

    Pallet Estimation & Planning

    • Retrieve store orders via the BOMM system
    • Estimate pallet volumes per order
    • Compile and share pallet spreadsheets (store name, code, order number, pallets) with transporters
    • Advise on correct truck size for delivery based on pallet data
    • Complete and send relevant collection documents for outsourced transport

    Communication & Coordination

    • Serve as the liaison between stores, regional managers, and DC operations
    • Update stakeholders on order status, special delivery requests, and any issues
    • Resolve delivery-related queries

    Transporter Liaison

    • Communicate directly with transport companies regarding orders and delivery times
    • Confirm logistics details and follow up on outstanding or delayed deliveries

    Order Monitoring & Reporting

    • Monitor daily order cut-off times
    • Highlight and report late orders to regional and DC managers
    • Begin planning immediately for stores that meet submission deadlines

    JABS Allocation Support

    • Generate and merge store orders via BOMM system
    • Print and submit orders for picking

    Warehouse Manager - Cape Town

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A 3-year Supply Chain degree (required), with an Accounting diploma considered a plus.
    • 7-10 years of experience in warehouse/logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Strong leadership skills, with proven experience managing a large team.
    • Ability to manage a PnL and implement cost-saving strategies.
    • Expertise in WMS systems and RF scanning.
    • A track record in continuous improvement within warehouse operations.

    • WMS Management: Work with the team to ensure smooth WMS operations and ensure service delivery.
    • Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily operations, lead department managers and supervisors, and manage KPI targets.
    • Equipment & Maintenance: Supervise equipment maintenance, assess costs, and implement necessary improvements.
    • Staff Management: Lead recruitment, training, mentoring, and succession planning to build a high-performance team.
    • Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment with daily audits and checks across the facility.
