Planning, administration and general management issues, which will include the day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing work organized by team leader(s).
Communicating and liaising with buyers, staff groups and customers.

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Managing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles as well as fleet capacity optimization, materials handling and flow optimization.
Qualifications
High school or equivalent
Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, Management
10+ years’ experience working at a senior level in the Export / FMCG environment
Ability to take action against people and give warning – first to final warnings – and have experience in Disciplinary hearings is essential.
The ability to manage the Warehouse and Logistics is essential.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail is essential.
Must have good numerical ability and an understanding of finance as well as good written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse.
People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas.
Planning and Organisational skills.

Technical and IT skills, particularly when it comes to database management and spreadsheets.
