Warehouse Officer - Durban at BASF

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations and efficient management of our warehouse facility.

Duties will include the following:

• Warehouse Management and Inventory Control
• Monitor cold room temperatures using the Digital Monitoring System and report non-conformances
• Clear hazardous and recyclable waste and monitor waste levels in designated storage zones
• Ensure calibration of all Supply Chain scales and servicing of material handling equipment
• Maintain faultless document control related to incoming and outgoing logistics
• Palletize and store goods according to BASF AS SOP, and in line with GMP
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in line with 6S principles.
• Contribute actively to process improvements
• Staging of inventory ahead of production shift
• Conduct inventory counts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Warehousing/Supply Chain or equivalent
• Previous experience in a world-class warehousing environment is preferred
• Understanding of hazardous chemical management is desirable
• Valid forklift license is required
• Lean Manufacturing experience is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new applications/automated systems
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
