Workshop Foreman at Hyundai Automotive South Africa

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Foreman to lead our busy workshop. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the workshop, including scheduling and assigning work to technicians, monitoring workflow, and ensuring timely completion of repairs
• Train and mentor technicians to improve their skills and efficiency
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues, providing guidance and support to technicians as needed
• Interact with customers to determine their needs, provide estimates, and address any concerns or complaints
• Order parts and supplies as needed, maintaining inventory levels and controlling costs
• Perform quality control inspections on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards

Requirements:

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
• Technical or vocational training in automotive repair preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and components, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
