YES Intern: CAD Operator at TFG (The Foschini Group)

Job Description

• We are a small Team based at the TFG Head Office in Parow Cape Town. Team are very supportive and deadline driven and focused, working within a multi-branded environment. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be working across a number of Brands within TFG. 
• We are looking for an energetic, creative, assertive self-starter to join the TFG Store design team as a CAD operator.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and interpret store layout sketches in accordance with design brief and brand standards and present for approval
• Preparation of final working drawings, to include store layout, ceiling/lighting, flooring, electrical layouts and elevations including shopfronts both for Landlord approval, manufacture and procurement
• Preparation of details for fixture and fittings
• Liaise with Landlords, Architects and Developers
• Liaise with internal Operational Teams, Project and Procurement Managers including external Design Houses
• Preparation of Council submission packs
• 3D Development work including sketch up and photoshop, not essential.
• All drawing to be completed in Revit

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (completed) in Architecture, Interior Design, Draughting or a related field
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (essential) 
• Exposure to Revit would be advantageous
• Exposure to SketchUp and/or Photoshop is beneficial but not required
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to travel locally when required
• A driver’s license would be advantageous
