    Security Manager (Services)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • “The protection of Alstom employees, sites, assets, projects in progress, as well as sensitive information, represents nowadays a necessity for our company development. “
    • Security encompasses all active and passive measures allowing Alstom to guard itself against, and react to, any kind of intentional malicious action, both in material and immaterial fields.
    • In this frame, the Site Security Manager receives delegation from the site MD to implement and oversees Alstom security policies and procedures at site level. He/she is in charge of protecting Alstom people (employees and visitors), assets, sensitive information and of implementing crisis management processes in liaison with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

    POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION

    MAIN OFFICE LOCATION:

    • Located in Nigel (Ekurhuleni) at the production site.

    MAIN NETWORK:

    INTERNAL SUPPLIERS

    • Site Managing Director (MD),
    • Site Leadership Team (LT),
    • Security network within the country
    • Sites and projects MDs and management teams

    EXTERNAL

    • Private security companies (including companies providing security solutions, access control systems, etc…)
    • Local public and Security administrations (Police, Judicial & Administrative authorities)
    • Security managers of other companies, especially the neighboring ones
    • Alstom other Site or Project Security in the country (benchmarking, experience sharing)
    • Other consortium Security or staff if part of a consortium

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Assess the threat and identify the security risks for the site,
    • Ensure compliance of any security measure implemented within the site with the Group Security policies,
    • Define and implement the relevant security measures for the site,
    • Define and implement the right security organization for the site,
    • Control and update (depending on the risks) the site security organization, means and processes,
    • Edit and update the Site Security Plan
    • Follow both the general security and social situation in the site city / vicinity,
    • Provide advice and recommendations to the Site MD on security issues and ensure coordination with all security stakeholders (external and internal),
    • Create and maintain the relevant local security network (security providers, security managers from other sites / companies, local public authorities, local police…)
    • Manage security awareness and ensure security knowledge of site employees,
    • Report all security incidents to the Site MD and the Country Security Manager (depending on the country security organization). Ensure that all appropriate measures are taken in liaison with the police / judicial services,
    • Contribute to the security providers selection (in liaison with sourcing),
    • Manage and follow-up of the security providers service on site,
    • At site level, implement rules to ensure economic security and to protect sensitive information,
    • Anticipate and prepare all planned events on the site in liaison with internal stakeholders and public authorities/security forces (such as open days, public receptions…)
    • Anticipate and prepare VIP visits on site in liaison with internal stakeholders and public authorities/security forces,
    • Implement crisis management procedures at site level, according to the Group Security Policy,
    • Conduct incident investigations and provide evidence in hearing processes

    EDUCATION

    • College degree or equivalent training / experience in Business Administration, Law enforcement, security

    EXPERIENCE

    • Previous experience in the military, law enforcement or private security
    • Previous supervisory & crisis management experience
    • In-depth knowledge of national and/or local security environment and security issues.

    REQUIREMENT:

    • Transport: Own reliable car (mandatory)
    • License: Valid Driver’s License (mandatory)
    • Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA): Minimum Grade A or B required (depending on site). (desirable)
    • Experience: 3–5+ years in a supervisory or management role (mandatory)

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES

    • Advanced knowledge about local / national security environment; field experience in the country
    • Crisis management ability,
    • Experience in drafting security plans,
    • Ability to adapt to constant change, to manage multiple tasks and to deal with complex, stressful situations,
    • Good spoken, written and synthesizing skills,
    • Confidentiality sensitivity
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the site and outside the site).
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills to implement/review adequate security measures
    • Experience in organizing and managing staff

    Industrial Quality Engineer (COMPO)

    Your future role

    • Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial quality expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative team of professionals.
    • You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality compliance with customer and internal specifications, making a tangible impact by driving quality performance and achieving operational excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including the Process & Manufacturing Engineering (PME) team, Supply Chain (SC), and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), contributing to cross-functional quality initiatives and much more.
    • You’ll specifically take care of analyzing Defects per Unit (DpU) and External Demerits to improve quality performance, but also support decision-making for production handovers and participate in customer inspections.

    We’ll look to you for:

    • Managing industrial activities in the workshop, focusing on people, processes, and performance
    • Leading efficient Line Quality Animation with cross-functional teams
    • Ensuring mandatory safety and quality standards are upheld, including the authority to stop production if necessary
    • Contributing to Process FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) and Criticality Matrix analysis
    • Implementing and updating Quality Control Plans during pre- and serial manufacturing activities
    • Managing Internal NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and supporting the team using problem-solving methodologies

    • Degree or diploma in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
    • 5 years of experience with Quality in Industrial
    • Technical background enabling the understanding of critical characteristics of the products (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical) or equivalent
    • Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
    • Experience or understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies
    • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, IRIS, or CMMI
    • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and digital tools
    • A Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
