• Ecowize is looking for an experienced and certified Pest Control & Hygiene Technician to join our Pest Control and Hygiene division in Gauteng.
• The purpose of this role is to determine the best treatment regarding pest control and ensure the highest quality of service is delivered to the customer. 
• The Pest Control Technician must ensure that all services are planned and completed in line with the customer agreements signed. Be accountable and responsible for equipment and consumables used to complete the services. 

Summary of responsibilities 

• You will be responsible for inspecting buildings and the surrounding property for signs of insects, rodents and other pests.
• Then determine which treatment is best and use the proper baits or traps to remove them.
• Spray chemical solutions, powders, and gases on or near surfaces of a building or house to eliminate pests.
• Identify invading pests, including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitos, or bed bugs.
• Set mechanical traps and place bait. Remove dead rodents after extermination.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid Driver's licence
• P-Registration with Department of Agriculture.
• Pest Control Operator experience essential.
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.

Description

• The Picker/Packer is responsible for picking and packing goods that enter and exit the warehouse. They prepare items for shipping by weighing, labeling, and packing goods for delivery. The Picker/Packer is also required to load and off-load vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and check all incoming stock.
• Pick orders accurately according to picking slips.
• Ensure correct stock is issued and dispatched daily. 
• Fulfills customer orders in a timely manner.
• Checks products for any damages, reporting problems to management.
• Build and maintain product knowledge to assist with accurate picking and packing.
• Support the warehouse administrators with monthly stock counting and stock variance reviews.
• Action back orders and communicate fulfilment issues pro-actively with warehouse administrators.
• Reports any mechanical problems on equipment.
• Highlight possible improvement opportunities to the warehouse manager 
• Follows good safety practices and work safe practices.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work area.
• Participate in conducting warehouse stock counts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Relevant Qualification
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• Computer literate.
• Previous experience in a warehouse.
• Good communication skills. Both written and verbal.
• Understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
• High level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with hand-held scanning devices.
• Physical strength and stamina.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
