    Plant Engineer Ref No. IVP-PL-01

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree
    • GCC Mines and Works
    • Valid South African Driving License 

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • 10 or more years' experience in a mining environment as a GCC Mining Engineer 
    • More than 8 years' of applicable practical experience in PGM Process Plants and Mobile Machinery will be an advantage 
    • Demonstrated experience in maintenance management in a concentrator environment (Milling, Floatation, Thickening, Filtration, and Tailings), will be advantageous 
    • Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Architectural disciplines
    • The ability to effectively communicate with management, subcontractors, and customers
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint 

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Support the Plant manager or other management roles in the construction process throughout the project 
    • Provide an all-inclusive asset management for the safe and efficient operations of plant and equipment. Ensure all asset management functions are planned, competent and adequate resources are allocated, competencies are acquired and developed, and a culture of prevention and continual improvement is introduced.
    • Consistently apply the Ivanplats Way principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for the safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities and loss of time Injuries in accordance with the Ivanplats Standards, and Mine Health and Safety Act.
    • Work accurately under pressure and demonstrate a high level of managerial skills as a leader of a team of professionals and department heads.
    • Responsibility for the effective execution of Stay in Business (SIB) projects of the section.
    • The candidate will carry a legal appointment as per the MHSA.
    • Demonstrate effective financial control, budgeting, and forecasting over the section.
    • Establish, monitor, communicate, and maintain project schedules utilizing contemporary scheduling software.
    • Participate in managing activities that are related to project closeout to ensure timely completion.
    • Contractor management.
    • Develop and implement maintenance systems.
    • Prevent failure of equipment and root course analysis.
    • Liaise with suppliers.
    • Shutdown management.

    Officer, HR Systems Administration

    You will have the following:

    • Degree in Human Resources Management or Informatics Information Systems)
    • 5 years relevant experience in providing administrative support – preferably in a mining environment.
    • Proficiency in English written and spoken.

    You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

    • Payroll understanding
    • Experience in Office administration
    • Computer literacy – MS Office, Excel (Advanced) etc
    • Data management skills
    • Report writing skills
    • SAGE HR Systems Experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and audit data on P300 and ensure capturing is as per company required standards for payroll processing and record keeping.
    • Audit and maintain employee files by collecting and filling all documents as per employee check list.
    • Assist with training administration
    • Provide assistance with various HR administrative projects as requested.
    • Conduct audits on timesheets for payroll accuracy.
    • Ensure accurate figures/ data are captured, and reports generated and distributed as required
    • Create reports on request to assist in decision-making

    Officer, HR Administration (French Speaking)

    You will have the following:

    • Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management of similar qualification
    • 5 years relevant experience in providing administrative support – preferably in a mining environment.
    • Proficiency in English and French written and spoken.

     You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

    • Payroll understanding
    • Kamoa, processes, procedures and standards for safety and quality
    • Relationship management
    • Office administration
    • Computer literacy – MS Office, Excel etc
    • Data management skills
    • Report writing

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Follow up on medicals and onboarding documents for each expat
    • Assist with travel visa administration
    • Assist with preparing contract and offers
    • Providing expats with feedback on the status of their employment
    • Updating of the tracker
    • Generate Reports
    • Manage self and show up as a good team player
