    Electrician (C2)

    • Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.

    The successful applicant will report to the Chargehand or nominee.
    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate with Maths / Maths Literacy.
    • Relevant Trade Test Certificate.
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
    • TMM Licences “A” Dover.
    • Advantageous: N2 Certificate.
    • Advantageous: Certificate of Compliance (CoC).

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 2 – 3 years practical trade specific experience in a heavy industrial/mining/ plant environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Ensure maintenance, breakdowns and projects are done on mine assets. To ensure the electrical equipment and associated network under his / her responsibility complies with the mine’s code of practice, standards and procedures.
    • Ensure workshop and working environment is clean at all times. Assist in ensuring the workshop's operational functioning.
    • Schedule and organise work load, spares, tools and resources according to maintenance / breakdown schedule processes and procedures. Obtain permits and safe declarations to work and related permits for work to be performed by complying with the required procedures related to work permits.
    • Execute work against issued work order in a timeous and accurate manner. Complete work orders and return to supervisor for sign-off. Conduct daily inspections, whether scheduled or ad hoc, and record feedback on work order. Conduct planning of job shown on work order to ensure job is executed in shortest space of time
    • Conduct mini risk assessment and lock-out procedure in own area of work and within span of control.
    • Perform asset care activities as required to project/maintenance / breakdown schedule including accurate and timeous feedback and documentation to all relevant stakeholders. Operate and maintain specified equipment/mobile equipment in line with requirements of Code of Practice, policies and procedures. Adhere to manufacturer's (OEM’s) maintenance service requirements.
    • Ensure all equipment and tools are cleaned after use and stored in Storeroom according to labelling. Ensure that personal toolbox is in safe working condition. Ensure all equipment is inspected continuously to repair identified defects in time to prevent breakdowns, damaged equipment, injuries, and production delays and to identify future defects. Plan, order, collect and utilise parts to minimize production delays, due to equipment and machinery failure.
    • Ensure equipment is maintained proactively and serviced on a scheduled basis to ensure equipment availability and reliability. Ensure breakdowns are attended to immediately to restore availability and reported to the Chargehand/Foreman and Control Room. Report and communicate unrepairable equipment to the supervisor.
    • Ensure effective teamwork and good communication by establishing interaction between members.

    Instrumentation Aide (B4)

    The successful applicant will report to the Instrumentation Mechanician or nominee.
    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
    • Advantageous: Operative Course Certificate.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • Advantageous: 1-year practical trade-related experience in a heavy industrial/ mining/ plant environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • To render Engineering (instrumentation-focused) support to Instrumentation personnel to support mine-wide operations and meeting of production targets.
    • Perform Mini Risk Assessment prior to commencing with every task. Perform lock-out where applicable.
    • Works independently and under the supervision of the Mechanician. Receive request / job instruction from Mechanician. Assess job requirements. Locate spares and tools if available. Request stoppage of equipment if required. Request electrical isolation of equipment if required. Perform mechanical isolation and de-isolation. Perform requested work according to SOP. Test equipment if needed. Hand equipment back to production team. Complete job card and submit to Mechanician. Types of tasks performed independently: Cleaning and inspection of mass balance systems and cable installations. Tasks performed with the supervisor: Assist with the installation/maintenance of telephone systems and turnstiles, and maintenance of CO and fire control systems. Inspection of UPS and reporting of deviations.
    • Perform housekeeping task during and after completion of work. Cleaning and correct storage of tools.

    TMM Artisan (Diesel Mechanic/Earthmoving Mechanic /Fitter) (C2)

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • TMM Licences “A” Dover.
    • Advantageous: N2 Certificate: Engineering Studies.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 2 - 3 years trade specific experience in a heavy industrial/mining/plant/TMM environment.
    • Advantageous: 1 year practical earthmoving equipment experience.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Ensure maintenance and breakdowns are done on the TMM production fleet. Contribute to availability of TMM equipment to sustain the mining production. To ensure the vehicles under his / her responsibility comply with the mine’s code of practice applicable to TMM for operational usage.
    • Ensure workshop and working environment is clean at all times by cleaning up afterwards. Assist in ensuring the workshop's operational functioning.
    • Schedule and organise workload, spares, tools and resources according to maintenance and breakdown schedule processes and procedures. Work safely within safety and work practice parameters. Execute work against issued work order in a timeous and accurate manner by adhering to correct technical and related work practices. Complete work orders and return to supervisor for sign-off. Conduct daily inspections, whether scheduled or ad hoc, and record feedback on work order. Conduct planning of job shown on work order to ensure job is executed in shortest space of time.
    • Conduct mini risk assessment and lock-out procedure/s in own area of work and within span of control by adhering to safety procedures.

    Project Administrator (C1)

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
    • Certificate: Project Administration.
    • Advantageous: Code 08 (B) Driver's License.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 2 years practical experience as Projects Administrative.
    • Advantageous: 6 Months practical experience in Clerical / Administrative in a Mining environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Provide effective and efficient project support to Capital projects to contribute towards the achievement of project objectives.
    • Assist colleagues and team members with variety of tasks when requested and instructed. Assistance is provided to co-workers and as instructed by supervisor when required. Ensure instructions are understood before commencing with tasks.
    • Assist supervisor/manager to ensure project delivery within specified costs, time and quality. Coordinate progress meetings and take minutes where relevant. Effect procurement activities relating to the relevant project/s or scope, by e.g. raising purchase requisitions, preparing remittance advices, ensuring payments are made timeously, keeping capital, scope and quality change registers, and tracking reporting. Ensure all general administration is completed accurately and timeously. Type and file requested letters and reports for Projects department including all clerical responsibilities such as photocopies, binding, faxes etc
    • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and filing of all Project related documentation as per internal Standards and procedures. Management of document filing and retrieval system.
    • Receipt of all relevant company documentation/company policies/original legal agreements and copies of licenses and ensure safe keeping thereof.
    • Maintain relationships with both internal and external customers to promote department and overall company image. Assist and support direct supervisor/manager as required. Attend to customer and related enquiries timeously and in accordance with policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

    HR Administrator - Projects (C1)

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 1 year practical experience in Clerical / Administrative in a Mining environment.
    • 1 year practical experience in HR Administration.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Perform contractor administration duties to ensure timeous engagements, medical bookings, training, work permits and exits of all external contractors.
    • Assist colleagues and team members with variety of tasks when requested and instructed by providing specific contractorrelated insights into problems or issues. Assistance is provided to co-workers and as instructed by supervisor when required. Ensure instructions are understood before commencing with tasks.
    • Receive notification of new contractor • Communicate to contractor regarding starting dates. Ensure timeous and accurate medical bookings, engagements, training bookings. Ensure timeous periodical medical and training bookings. Ensure exit process is followed upon expiry of the contract. Capturing and filing of all documentation and information. Ensure safety and medical inductions.
    • Maintain relationships with both internal and customers to promote department and overall company image. Attend to contractor and related enquiries timeous and in accordance with policy and statutory requirements. Maintain positive, working relationships with contractor representatives for effective administration to support continuity of core contractor services.
    • Generate and distribute the monthly Contractors Report after approval and submit to line supervisor.
