    Design Developer - Pinetown

    What you will do

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Translating customer artwork and intent to a repro order following the Repro Submission Guidelines and Tetra Pak specifications, satisfying customer and productivity demands. By early involvement in the design creation process, improve artwork quality and suitability.

    Operational design conversion and execution

    • Pre-fill and complete full design evaluation of customer artwork files
    • Ensure that our printing specification and out-of-specification process are followed and respected
    • Understand customer intent and translate this to repro instruction, maximizing print quality depending on print method, while securing production efficiency. Follow repro submission guidelines
    • Secure design consistency for brand / family designs
    • Check that repro has completed the job according to all requirements and verify that customer intent is fulfilled
    • Promotes use of Tetra Pak digital platforms (EasyDesign)

    Support design handling process in the markets

    •  Support CSR and Design Peers with graphical knowledge
    • Member of Key account Team, supporting the customer with graphical expertise when required

    Customer Experience 

    • Drives proactive Quality and Continuous Improvements based on CX feedback
    • Liasies with Repro Hubs and factories to escalate the voice of customer & market to expedite resolution
    • Visit customers and agencies to discuss Tetra Pak design and print specifications, sharing best practice examples to improve overall quality

    We believe you have

    • A completed Bachelors degree in Design
    • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience of design, repro or printing related industry. Strong knowledge with Graphic arts software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
    • Good knowledge in packaging and printing, work experience in Flexo printing will be an additional benefit
    • Proven knowledge and understanding of artwork creation process, work experience from a design agency aspect. 
    • General knowledge of colour management
    • Continuous improvement mindset; openness to feedback and learning
    • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, good team-player, strong learning capability and attention to details oriented
    • Able to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines and maintain composure during peak workload periods.

    Service Engineer - Cape Town

    Job Summary

    • Tetra Pak South Africa has a vacancy in Port Elizabeth for experienced a Service Delivery Engineer to fill a rewarding and challenging role, that allows freedom with accountability while working directly with our Customer Service Operations (CSO) team and customers. 
    • The role will include preventive and corrective maintenance, installation & commissioning of new equipment, upgrades to existing equipment, providing production support and on-site customer training in Southern Africa. 
    • The CSO team delivers support to our internal team and customers by providing on-site support for Tetra Pak Equipment in our customers' production facilities. We are looking for customer-focused Service Delivery Engineer who can travel up to 75% of the time. You will also have a dedication to quality and health & safety. 
    • The successful candidate will report to the Service Delivery Manager based in Port Elizabeth.

    What you will do

    • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with customers and ensuring that Tetra Pak’s reputation is sustained. 
    • Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer food safety regulations and requirements, and escalate any discovered food safety, quality assurance or regulatory issues. 
    • Provide installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting services on Tetra Pak Equipment in line with global Tetra Pak standards and OHS procedures and ensure that equipment performs according to defined expectations 
    • Execute installation and commissioning of relevant rebuilding kits/upgrades according to procedures and reinstate lines into production. 
    • Perform the analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and automation issues, and execute the necessary repairs. 
    • Promptly report and manage all discovered Technical Issues according to the QTIM process and when needed, escalate to next appropriate level in a timely manner providing a proper problem description to ensure rapid resolution. 
    • Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to enable permanent resolution. 
    • Actively seek opportunities to drive continuous improvement at our customer's production facilities, and provide timely follow up on customer requests, concerns and problems. 
    • Conduct production supervision and operator training at customer sites 
    • Timely submittal of all travel expenses, time reporting, service reporting and e-mail correspondence. 
    • Share knowledge and support the development of skills of Tetra Pak colleagues.

    We believe you have

    • Up to 3 years’ experience in maintenance, service, or installation within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
    • N6/National Diploma or Trade Test in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Millwright, or equivalent technical qualification.
    • Foundational mechanical, electrical, and basic automation knowledge, with exposure to industrial equipment installation and troubleshooting (PLC/drive systems advantageous).
    • Commitment to health and safety standards; Food & Beverage industry experience beneficial but not mandatory.
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders with a customer focused mindset
    • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
    • Intermediate level of English (written and verbal)
    • A proactive, customer-first mindset
