    Facilities Manager

    • A sophisticated group of boutique hotels based in Franschhoek is seeking the above to be responsible for overseeing, managing, and maintaining all aspects of hotel maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Tertiary qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering or related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Facilities/Maintenance Manager
    • Hotel or property maintenance experience is advantageous
    • Experience with CAPEX and Operational budgeting is essential
    • Must have experience with preventative maintenance planning and execution
    • Focused on quality and attention to detail with innovative ideas to bring about change and results
    • Experience in managing a large team, with strong teamwork skills, cross-organizational collaboration, and the ability to build high-performance teams
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office
    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Overseeing, managing, and maintaining all areas related to maintenance to ensure effective hotel operational requirements.
    • Planning, supervising, and conducting the maintenance and service schedules of relevant hotel equipment and the fleet of vehicles within the group.
    • Working closely with the relevant Hotel Managers, Group Operational Manager, and Heads of Departments to ensure all maintenance requests are being resolved in a timely manner, with excellent record-keeping and efficient feedback.
    • Developing a preventative maintenance program that ensures compliance with all relevant warranties, safety legislation, and maintenance best practices.
    • Ensuring the secure and safe usage of all equipment items.
    • Managing, training, guiding, and developing the staff in their required skills.
    • Ensuring that malfunctioning equipment is being repaired and brought back online with minimal downtime.
    • Maintaining a thorough stock level of frequently used equipment, supplies, and relevant items.
    • Maintaining inspection, stock control, and purchasing records.
    • Obtaining the best price quotes from reliable suppliers and building a base of approved service providers.
    • Preparing annual maintenance budgets, including any purchasing for machinery or other CAPEX items, maintaining existing materials and machinery, and labour.
    • Ensuring, enforcing, and maintaining Health and Safety standards.

    Technical Sales Representative - Biosecurity

    • A multinational food hygiene company providing cleaning services and hygiene chemicals to food processing plants and abattoirs, requires the above to be responsible for expanding the product range in the Northern region, building relationships with dairy farmers, providing technical support, and ensuring timely product delivery and customer training.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have Grade 12
    • A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or related will be an added advantage
    • Previous experience in technical sales, preferably in the dairy/poultry/porcine industry is essential
    • Must have knowledge of dairy farming practices and animal health management
    • Experience working with dairy farm management systems such as Afimilk or Waikato is advantageous
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the Northern region when required

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Developing and implementing strategies to expand the dairy, poultry, and piggery product range in the Northern region.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with dairy farmers, providing technical advice and support.
    • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
    • Conducting market research to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
    • Providing sales support and training to customers on product usage and benefits.
    • Staying updated on industry trends and developments related to dairy, poultry and pig farming biosecurity.

    Sales Representative - Food and Beverage Hygiene

    • A multinational food hygiene company providing cleaning services and hygiene chemicals to food processing plants and abattoirs, requires the above to be responsible for sales and marketing within the KwaZulu-Natal area.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have Grade 12
    • A Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology will be an added advantage
    • Sales experience into food and beverage manufacturers and abattoirs is essential
    • Must have excellent negotiation and communication skills
    • Strong new business development and key account management skills is advantageous
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel when required

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Developing new business into food manufacturers and abattoirs to provide a full hygiene service as well as chemical sales.
    • Maintaining and building client relationships.
    • Meeting monthly sales targets.
    • Liaising with management, providing sales and client reports.
    • Monitoring sales trends and providing feedback to senior management.
    • Increasing market share in the region with the provided resources.
    • Developing and implementing product demonstrations in the region.
    • Investigating, understanding, capturing and communicating customer requirements.
    • Creating a demand for hygiene products and services.
