    Principal Pricing Strategist.

    A Day in the Life

    • At Medtronic, you will have the chance to shape the future of healthcare through innovative pricing strategies. We are seeking a Pricing Specialist to develop and implement pricing and reimbursement approaches for current and future products. This role blends strategy, financial analysis, and collaboration, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.     • This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with office-based collaboration.
    • Occasional travel may be required to engage with teams, partners, or customers. You will work closely with finance, market access, and sales, reporting to the regional pricing team.

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

    • Develop and communicate the strategic, financial, and administrative implications of pricing policies
    • Create and recommend pricing proposals to ensure compliance with internal policy and external regulations
    • Recommend and implement pricing and reimbursement strategies for current and future products across multiple customer and market segments
    • Review competitor activity and market dynamics to support new product pricing decisions
    • Provide input into final pricing contracts and negotiations
    • Plan and execute market research and analysis to inform pricing strategies
    • Mentor or guide junior team members while managing assigned projects from design to implementation

    ​​​​​​​Required Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in pricing, contracts, or a related field (or Associate’s degree with 6+ years, or High School Diploma with 8+ years)
    • Strong knowledge of pricing policies, reimbursement processes, and financial analysis
    • Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis
    • Proven ability to manage projects independently and deliver results with limited oversight
    • Skilled communicator, able to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders
    • Ability to develop solutions to moderately complex problems and improve processes or systems
    • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical devices industry will be an advantage. Familiarity with pricing strategies in highly regulated environments, as well as prior exposure to cross-border projects, will also be valued.

    Neurovascular Intern

    A Day in the Life

    • This internship role supports our daily mission of serving patients and partners by providing the highest level of support and collaboration. You will contribute to our commitment to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life.

    Internship details:

    • Start date: November (flexible start date)
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Location: Gauteng
    • Working hours: 40 h/week
    • Work model: Field-based travel to support clinical stakeholders

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Assist in providing clinical and technical support through case observation and product demonstrations
    • Support inventory management by helping with monthly stock counts and monitoring short-dated or expired items
    • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to facilitate the smooth adoption of MDT technology
    • Contribute to building and maintaining customer relationships by being present in allocated accounts
    • Complete the Neurovascular training pathway as part of the internship program

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Recently graduated or about to graduate with a Bachelor degree of Health Science in Clinical Technology - Neurophysiology
    • Able to travel to support internal stakeholders
    • Must be currently unemployed
    • Must be South African citizen
    • Must be under the age of 30
    • Have not participated in a YES programme previously

    Would be a plus: 

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Clinical experience in a hospital setting
    • Familiarity with MDT technologies
    • Motivated, collaborative, and goal-driven

    Sales Intern

    A Day in the Life

    • As an intern, you will support the Sales and Clinical teams in driving technology adoption and building strong relationships with clinicians. You will assist with in-OR and Cath-Lab activities, gain exposure to therapy insights, and develop skills to provide training and educational support. This internship offers hands-on experience in how Medtronic partners with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

    Internship details:

    • Start Date: November 2025
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Location: Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), Cape Town
    • Working Hours: 40 hours/week
    • Work Model: Hybrid / Field-based travel to support clinical stakeholders

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Providing administrative support to the sales function, such as coordinating meetings and appointments within allocated accounts
    • Conducting statistical analysis on sales data to support optimal execution and growth objectives
    • Maintaining online sales and marketing systems, verifying data accuracy, and liaising with IT to resolve issues
    • Administering the field sales forecasting system to provide management with current product sales potential
    • Supporting activities within specified accounts to gain training on the Operating Unit (OU) and Sales processes
    • Acting as a liaison between Government and Commercial teams regarding pending orders (specific to Government accounts)
    • Promoting Medtronic products and services within assigned geographic areas or customer accounts, supporting the sales team in meeting or exceeding targets

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Recently graduated with a degree, preferably in a medical field
    • Able to travel to support internal stakeholders
    • Must be currently unemployed
    • Must be a South African citizen
    • Must be under the age of 30

    Neuroscience Intern

    A Day in the Life

    • As an intern, you will support Neuroscience (& Spine) cases and facilitate technology adoption to unlock the full potential of Medtronic products during procedures. You will help drive demand from clinical stakeholders and build strong relationships with clinicians through deep therapy insights. You will also develop toward delivering comprehensive training and educational value. This role contributes to sales through clinical support.

    Internship details:

    • Start date: November 2025
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Location: Bloemfontein
    • Working hours: 40 h/week
    • Working model: hybrid; in-field travel to support clinical stakeholders

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Providing clinical and technical support
    • Supporting cases, product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance
    • Offering follow-up support to regional sales teams and external stakeholders
    • Supplying clinical stakeholders with technical data for product demonstrations
    • Delivering on-site education and consulting, and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations
    • Coordinating with clinical stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of MDT technology

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Recently graduated with a degree in a medical field
    • Able to travel to support clinical stakeholders
    • Willing to work in operating theatre
    • Must be currently unemployed
    • Must be South African citizen
    • Must be under the age of 30
    • Have not participated in a YES programme previously

    Would be a plus:

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Navigation or Spine related Technology Qualification 
    • Clinical experience in hospital environment
    • Motivated, collaborative, and goal-driven
