    Emergency Service - ALS/ECP

    Introduction    

    • MHR is looking for an experienced Advanced Life Support Practitioners (Paramedic ANT)  to work a 3 month contract in Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape province to start asap.

    Requirements    

    • Advanced Life Support Practitioner (CCA, Ndip) or other relevant qualification is essential
    • Professional registration with HPCSA as an ALS/Paramedic ANT
    • A valid drivers’ license (including a Public Drivers Permit - PrDP)
    • Proven operational experience as a Paramedic or newly qualified Paramedic - 1 year’s ALS operational experience will be advantageous
    • Sound knowledge of the EMS environment
    • Knowledge and application of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
    • Working knowledge and experience of Patient Report Forms

    Registered Nurse (RN) - Theatre Scrub Nurse

    Introduction    

    • Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is looking for Registered Nurses (RN) / Professional Nurses (PN) with proven THEATRE SCRUB experience to work in Cath lab. This is a part-time and standby shifts to start immediately at a private hospital in in Somerset West in the Western Cape.

    Requirements    

    • Degree/Diploma in Nursing (General and/or Midwifery) 
    • Valid SANC licence
    • Must have own vehicle
    • At least 6 months working experience in a Theatre Scrub -Cath lab  environment is essential
    • An additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science/Diploma in Critical Care Nursing will be advantageous
    • A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice
    • Knowledge of clinical procedures, relevant nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles
    • Sound knowledge and application of relevant Theatre and CSSD policies and procedures

    • Deliver safe, comprehensive and quality peri-operative nursing care according to Scope of Practice
    • Deliver quality peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team

    • Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions

    Social Worker

    Introduction    

    • MHR is currently looking for an experienced SOCIAL WORKER to work 6 hours per month in Bethlehem in the Free State. NB: Seeing that the social worker will be required to work only a few hours per month, this is an ideal opportunity for independent contractors (Social Workers in private practice) who are interested in working additional set hours per month.

    Requirements    

    • Diploma or Degree in Social Work
    • Must be registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
    • Indemnity insurance cover required
    • Knowledge of applicable Legislation
    • Must have a valid Code 8 Driving License and own transport
    • Experience in Employee Assistance will act as an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
    • Knowledge of training and presentation methods
    • Competent in the MS Office suite (Word and Excel)
    • Strong administrative and organisational skills
    • Being able to work independently
