    Escorting

    • Ensures that all visitors to the premises are authorized by the Head of the specific department before entering the premises

    IT Hardware Asset Analyst

    Responsible for the coordination of the IT Hardware Asset and Mobile Device function across the organisation 

    • Responsible for the end-to-end management and allocation of user contracts, including Data, Voice, SMS and contract  renewals
    • Configure IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices using the corporate standard, setting the device up or extending the line to test device functioning
    • Manage the process of activating sim swaps, new sim cards as well as terminating sim cards on behalf of business
    • Manage inventory and assignment of IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices and sim card to the correct people and departments
    • Process any application of contract transfer from SBV to personal contract in accordance with the agreed upon processes
    • Responsible to tag all IT Hardware Asset and Mobile Devices to maintain an up-to-date database
    • Track and manage all IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Device movement throughout its operating life, maintaining accurate records of phone lines, third party delivered IT Hardware assets and Mobile Devices and services, including reallocations, repair work and new and decommissioned items.
    • Identify, report on and monitor the recovery of IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices from exiting personnel
    • Deploy and support cell phone applications to enterprise cell phone device operating systems to monitor adherence to policies and procedures
    • Actively resolve enterprise and handheld issues, escalating where necessary
    • Liaise with vendors to determine product availability, pricing changes, upgrades, and new IT Hardware Asset and 
    • Mobile Device releases.

    Analyse, monitor and report on IT Hardware Asset and Mobile Device Usage and Performance

    • Analyse and report on daily inventory scans for IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices to monitor usage throughout their life cycles, identifying trends and/or discrepancies and providing recommendations to the IT Asset Hardware Manager
    • Responsible for Mobile Device provisioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management, reporting on active devices and usage
    • Analyse, ascertain and report on whether IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices are remaining productive and cost efficient, providing recommendations to the IT Hardware Asset Manager where necessary
    • Identify and propose plans to dispose of IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices before turning to liabilities
    • Decommission unused IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices and contracts as per company policy and remove them from the asset register 
    • Explore different opportunities and provide recommendations to the IT Hardware Asset Manager to maximise unused or partially used IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices in order to receive full efficacy and return on investments
    • Report the utilization of data and minutes and propose suitable packages for users
    • Follow up daily on user queries, soft lock, abuse and unlock locked mobile devices
    • Block stolen mobile devices, inform the mobile device carriers, update asset register and Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) on the relevant platform. 
    • Participate in various smartphone upgrade projects and facilitate testing the proposed devices 
    • Coordinate the financial management of IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Devices 
    • Evaluate and benchmark vendor IT Asset Hardware and Mobile Device pricing options and maintenance programmes, proposing suitable recommendations in terms of contracts, mobile devices and IT hardware assets
    • Monitor and report on centre Voice and Mobile Device bills and compliance, identifying and reporting on trends, including but not limited to spend, time of usage and abuse, escalating where necessary
    • Act as the single point of contact for the purchasing/upgrades of cellular accounts/contracts and IT Hardware Assets as per SBV policies and process, with Procurement 
    • Validate and maintain monthly invoices from telecom vendors, usage report and costs
    • Assist the Finance Department with account reviews, invoicing, disputes, reconciliation and payment approvals, identifying and investigating anomalies with vendors and users
    • Perform monthly billing analysis for several data carriers for plan assignments to minimize monthly costs. 
    • Administer and maintain all reporting and registers 
    • Adhere to Call Logging Processes and Procedures to analyse and report on trends, providing recommendations 
    • Conduct quarterly audits to establish the accuracy of registers and reporting of the IT Hardware Asset and Mobile Devices across the organisation 
    • Manage all administrative processes related to IT Hardware Asset Management and Mobile Device Management
    • Track all IT Hardware Asset movements end to end and upstate on the respective registers as well as on the master CMDB on the relevant platform 
    • Maintain and Support monitoring and reporting of SIM Cards, APN solution and internet/data
    • Compile and distribute monthly reports to the Centre managers on the usage and queries of IT Hardware Assets and 
    • Mobile Devices, providing recommendations to the IT Hardware Asset Manager
    • Support the Governance of IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Device Management 
    • Adhere to the IT Hardware Assets and Mobile Device management process and liaise with the Security teams to put in place IT Hardware Asset and Mobile Device Management software and controls
    • Support the IT Hardware Asset Manager in the development and implementation of procedures and policies for IT 
    • Hardware Asset and Mobile Device management, such as commissioning, deployment, maintenance, reallocation and replacement processes
    • Develop and maintain end user and Mobile Device helpdesk documentation and provide training on how to use various telecommunications equipment and software

    Create and Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships 

    • Liaise with service providers regarding Mobile Device upgrades, new applications, SIM swops, monthly usage analysis  and handset replacements
    • Support and train centre managers to effectively manage active services
    • Follow up on Vendor queries such as invoice disputes, incorrect billing and credits 
    • Follow up on new orders or Mobile Device repairs on weekly basis
    • Liaise with finance regarding invoices and follow-up in terms of whether they have been processed and paid
    • Remotely assist customers with any problems 
    • Liaise with Mobile Device operators regarding any hardware faults

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements: Experience

    • 4 years’ experience in a IT Service Desk or Call Centre role, preferably in the Telecommunication space of which 2  years’ experience must be within an ITIL aligned asset managed environment 

    Minimum Requirements: Education

    • Business Intelligence certificate (advantageous) 
    • Relevant IT diploma/ degree or MSCE or MCITP 
    • ITIL certificate (Advantageous)
