    Senior Process Designer

    Job Description

    • To produce project related process diagrams and process instructions
    • Completion of diagrams according to manhour budgets and schedules
    • Completion of error free diagrams to good drafting practices
    • Complete all administrational functions related to function

    Responsibilities

    • Production of diagrams for process discipline in relevant department design packages.
    • Produce electronic and hardcopy diagrams and related data files.
    • Work in conjunction with multi-disciplinary engineers / designers.
    • Timely and accurate completion of diagrams to schedules.
    • Adherence to manhour budgets.
    • Adherence to company / department standards and procedures.
    • Multi-task project diagrams and miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Section Lead / Process Engineer, to meet deadlines.
    • Work overtime from time to time as per project requirement.
    • Solve problems of a routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures.
    • Perform validation checks on all diagrams, databases and lists/reports generated.
    • Adherence to drawing man-hour budgets.
    • Assist with training of peers/new designers, if and when requested by the Section Lead.
    • Assist with continuous development and uphold of standards, procedures and any relevant documentation, if and when requested by the Section Lead.
    • Assist Section Lead/Lead Engineer with reviewing of established budgets and schedules to provide input on the ability to meet the required, i.e. assist with man-hour planning.
    • Provide technical support to peers, if and when requested by the Section Lead.
    • Assist with systems administration functions, if and when requested by the Section Lead.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 10 years Process Design experience of which at least 5 years is in the mining and mineral processing area.
    • Proficient in AutoCad

    Desirable: 

    • Proficiency with AVEVA P&ID or intelligent P&ID software

    Knowledge, skills and experience:

    • Understanding of the composition and purpose of process drawings and associated documentation.
    • Well developed computer skills with keen knowledge of related drafting software packages including AutoCad, relational databases and excel spreadsheets.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Methodical approach to allocated work areas.
    • Must be able to work under pressure.

    Desirable:

    • Basic excel knowledge.

    Job Description

    • Produce structural models and drawings in accordance with accepted Engineering practice and company drafting procedures.

    Procurement Officer

    Job Description

    • Reports to the SCL (Supply Chain Lead) and performs procurement related tasks in accordance with either project and/or company sanctioned procedures and plans ensuring strict compliance thereto. Although primarily responsible for the purchase of goods & commodities this may be extended to assisting with any other procurement related activities such as desk expediting and general procurement duties when necessary.     

    Responsibilities

    • Support Supply Chain Lead with procurement related matters.
    • Ensure procurement objectives and philosophies are met.
    • Action material requisitions raised by engineering and approved by project management.
    • Issue request for quotations (RFQ’s). 
    • Attend to all queries during the tendering process.
    • Receive, open, register and distribute tenders as prescribed per agreed project procedures.
    • Analyse and adjudicate tenders commercially.
    • Review commercial terms for compliance with company, client and project specific requirements.
    • Ensure payment terms comply with project objectives.
    • Ensure goods, material & services are procured as specified on the due date and at the best price.
    • Arrange and participate in negotiations with suppliers.
    • Maintain clarification logs and/or prepare & distribute clarification meeting minutes.
    • Liaise closely with engineering to ensure alignment prior to issue of recommendation for award.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for procurement effort on projects regarding all activities related to the purchase of goods and services, including, but not necessarily limited to, solicitation of bids, evaluation, risk assessment, compilation of purchase orders, administration, dispute resolution, purchase order close outs and ensuring complicit compliance with the agreed purchase order terms & conditions at all times.

    Contracts Administrator

    Job Description

    • Administer the contractual and commercial aspects from the preparation of tenders and letting of contracts through to dealing with claims, ensuring that cash flow is managed effectively and that budgets and forecasts are maintained. Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in all commercial and contractual matters.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and issue of requests for tender.
    • Evaluate, negotiate and award contracts.
    • Prepare and issue contract documents.
    • Implementation and maintaining of project contract control systems and procedures.
    • Verify interim monthly progress certificates from contractors.
    • Manage and reporting of change control.

    • Ensure control of back charges.
    • Evaluate, negotiate and bring resolution to contractor claims.
    • Ensure that Projected contract completion costs are updated.
    • Attend site inspection, kick-off and project progress meetings.

    • Other duties, as assigned, by Construction Manager.
    • Upkeep of all Control Registers.

    Qualifications
    Qualifications:

    • A tertiary qualification in a Commercial or Quantity Surveying Field.

    Knowledge, skills and experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Contract Administration.
    • Experience with NEC, FIDIC and bespoke forms of contract
    • Experience in an EPCM environment 
    • Experience in evaluating, negotiating and awarding of contracts.
    • Good computer literacy skills in MS Office and Excel.
    • Working knowledge of MS Project would be advantageous but not a requirement
    • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
    • Be experienced in managing contractual progress and claims for contractors in a stringent manner. 
    • Ability to travel locally and/or internationally as and when required.
    • High level of people and communication skills

    Desirable:

    • Experience in other Commercial fields such as Quantity Surveying.
