    Restaurant General Manager - Overport

    Job Description

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Overseeing overall operation of the restaurant/ take-away
    • Ensuring quality standards of food and PEDROS Standard Operating Procedures are maintained
    • Overseeing and managing stock control, purchasing and orders
    • Dealing with customer complaints and maintaining customer service levels of the restaurant/ take-away
    • Maximising profitability and meeting sales and GP% targets, including motivating staff to do so
    • Managing staff including discipline and work rosters.
    • Work within a team and drive the restaurant/take-away forward
    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
    • Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are conducted at the store
    • Marketing activities – to ensure that promotion and incentive programmes are introduced at the store
    • Customer service relations management – handling of customer service complaints and ensuring complaints are handled within the required time frame
    • People management – ensure training programmes are in place for staff development and to maintain and carry out regular structured staff meetings at the store
    • Recruitment and selection – leading, training and monitoring the performance of the team in the store to increase productivity and profitability

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Restaurant and Fast-Food Service experience. Minimum 3 years related experience required

    Industrial Engineer - Supply Chain Operations

    Job Description

    • The Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operation is responsible for analysing, improving, and redesigning operational processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures across distribution centre operations to improve efficiency, productivity, service delivery, and cost effectiveness.
    • The role focuses on identifying operational inefficiencies, labour optimization opportunities, process bottlenecks, and control gaps within a predominantly manual operating environment while supporting the business’s operational transformation initiatives, including future systems and technology implementation.
    • The incumbent will work closely with operational stakeholders to develop practical, scalable, and sustainable process improvements across warehousing, inventory management, logistics, and distribution operations.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyse current operational workflows, SOPs, and distribution processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
    • Conduct time studies, process mapping, workflow analysis, and labour utilization assessments across distribution centre operations.
    • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
    • Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks and non-value-adding activities.
    • Review and optimize warehouse layout, operational flows, and inventory handling processes.
    • Develop operational performance tracking tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms using Excel and other available systems.
    • Work closely with operational teams to standardize and improve operational procedures and controls.
    • Analyse operational data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational risks.
    • Support the business in preparing for future implementation of WMS, TMS, ERP, and other operational technologies.
    • Assist with process documentation, SOP development, and change implementation initiatives.
    • Conduct root cause analysis on operational inefficiencies, stock variances, delays, and productivity challenges.
    • Monitor and improve productivity metrics across warehouse and distribution operations.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives across all DC operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT.
    • Ensure operational processes align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and best practices.
    • Travel to various distribution centres and operational sites as required.

    ​​​​​​​Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering
    • 3–5 years’ experience within supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or distribution operations
    • Proven experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency projects
    • Experience working within manual or semi-manual operational environments
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis, pivot tables, reporting, and modelling
    • Experience with process mapping and SOP development
    • Exposure to WMS, ERP, or supply chain systems implementation will be advantageous
    • Experience within FMCG, warehousing, logistics, or QSR supply chain environments advantageous

    Loss Prevention Manager

    Job Description

    • The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for identifying, investigating, and reducing all forms of loss across distribution centre and production operations. This includes stock variances, theft, fraud, and unethical practices.
    • The role focuses on conducting thorough investigations, producing detailed and evidence-based reports, and strengthening internal controls within a largely manual operating environment. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution centre, including goods receipt, order fulfilment, and production.

    Responsibilities : 

    • Investigate stock variances, shrinkage, and discrepancies across DC and production operations.
    • Conduct detailed investigations into theft, fraud, and misconduct, including potential collusion between employees and management.
    • Compile clear, detailed, and evidence-based investigation reports for management decision-making.
    • Provide recommendations based on findings to mitigate risk and prevent recurrence.
    • Perform regular audits on operational processes to identify control gaps and risks.
    • Monitor high-risk areas including receiving, production usage, and dispatch to prevent losses.
    • Implement and strengthen internal controls within manual processes to reduce human error and manipulation.
    • Analyse trends in stock variances and incidents to identify root causes and recurring risks.
    • Work closely with DC management and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment on investigations and corrective actions.
    • Conduct random and scheduled checks on stock, processes, and employee activities.
    • Oversee and review access control and movement of employees, contractors, and visitors.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, ethics, and loss prevention awareness across all levels of staff.
    • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all investigations, audits, and findings.
    • Travel to various distribution centres and branches to conduct investigations and audits as required.
    • Contribute to the development of loss prevention policies, frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
    • Support the future development of a loss prevention team, including input into structure, processes, and capability requirements.

    Requirements : 

    • Relevant qualification in Risk Management, Security Management, or related field.
    • 5 years experience in loss prevention, investigations, or forensic auditing within warehouse, logistics, or production environments.
    • Strong experience in conducting workplace investigations and compiling formal reports.
    • Experience working in manual or low-system environments, with strong control implementation ability.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, trend identification, reporting).
    • Experience dealing with employee misconduct, fraud, or unethical behaviour cases.
