    Assistant Board Secretary

    Responsibilities will include but not be limited to

    • Providing administrative, logistical, and office support.
    • Assisting with the planning, scheduling, and organising of Board and Committee meetings and taking minutes of Board Committees as appropriate. 
    • Ensuring effective document and information management. 
    • Assisting in ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and regulatory requirements as well as the King Report on Corporate Governance.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have

    • A relevant administrative qualification or CIS or LLB qualification.
    • 2 to 5 years of administrative experience with the Board of Directors and Committees of the Board.
    • Experience in being a Committee Officer operating in a high-level office (Board or Executive office level).
    • Exceptional secretarial and administrative skills. 
    • Good knowledge of corporate governance and compliance prescripts and relevant legislation, including public sector legislation.

    Legal & Compliance Services Practitioner

    Key performance areas will include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensuring compliance of the supply chain management process.
    • Ensuring legal compliance of all SANSA contracts.
    • General Legal Advisory Services.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and experience:

    • LLB degree.
    • Minimum 5 years post-admission experience.
    • Admission as an attorney or advocate of the High Court (admitted legal practitioner).
    • Experience in drafting and vetting a variety of complex agreements.
    • Advanced knowledge of SCM legislation, policies, and processes applicable in the public sector or entity.
    • Positive attitude.
    • Innovative thinking skills.
    • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardised situations.
    • Knowledge of legal platforms.
    • Compliance Management will be an added advantage.
