    Channel Manager III

    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    • As the Channel Management for our DeskTopSEM Electron Microscopy business in Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA), you'll be responsible for driving all sales activities within the Materials and Structural Analysis Division. Your primary objective is to achieve current bookings targets through indirect sales channels while providing strategic direction and operational leadership to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) goals and ensure profitable growth. Collaboration within a matrix structure is essential as you work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across Thermo Fisher Scientific divisions to enhance our value proposition in the region.     Key Responsibilities:
    Distributor Sales:

    • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with channel partners to optimize routes to market.
    • Select and onboard appropriate channel partners, continuously improving existing channels.
    • Oversee distributor activities to drive optimal marketing and sales outcomes for DTS EM products.
    • Develop and implement distributor marketing plans and programs.
    • Establish a scorecard system to drive continuous improvement across channels.

    People Specification:
    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • Extensive commercial experience in the EEMEA region.
    • Proven expertise in Electron Microscopy Management.
    • A track record of effective leadership in matrix environments, inspiring and guiding teams.
    • Strong coaching and development skills.
    • A deep commitment to customer satisfaction.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
    • Proficiency in commercial sales, Channel Management, and marketing tools.
    • Advanced PC skills and familiarity with CRM systems.
    • Ability to generate and analyze performance data to drive insights.

    Sr Account Manager

    Job Description

    Position Summary

    • This is an opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s EMEA commercial organisation. Based in South Africa within the BioProduction Group (BPG) as a ‘Senior BioProduction Account Manager’ (Snr. BAM) you will join highly collaborative teams, both within BPG and the wider Thermo Fisher network.
    • The Snr. BAM finds innovative ways to develop the business and generate revenue growth across the entire BPG portfolio of market leading technologies and services for bioprocess research & development and cGMP manufacturing.  They own the business within the assigned territory and are supported by a team of Technical Sales Specialists, Field Application Scientists and Customer Operations & Support colleagues.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Introduce Thermo Fisher’s bioprocessing solutions holistically to the market, identifying new leads and opportunities, and coordinating support with internal colleagues to secure new and recurring revenue.
    • Build sustainable relationships and develop strong partnerships with; sales channels, customers, influential KOLs and internal colleagues.
    • Develop and implement Territory and Account business plans that are designed to support our customers and meet the commercial expectations of the BPG business.
    • Use effective sales tools and strategies to ensure critical metrics and sales targets are exceeded.
    • Maintain a healthy and hygienic sales funnel and provide regular, accurate revenue forecasts to the District Sales Manager.
    • Participate in regular business reviews to share the status of your region and call out where support is needed to meet your goals and objectives.

    Minimum Experience Requirements

    • 5 years commercial experience, including within the bioprocess market and encompassing direct & channel sales.
    • Sound knowledge of biologics PR&D and manufacturing.
    • Experience of complex, high-value opportunity closure via strategic sales opportunity management.
    • Demonstratable time management and prioritisation skills.
    • Experience using a CRM, updating regularly and accurately to manage the opportunity pipeline and provide insight to internal collaborators.
    • Proficient with standard MS Office tools.
    • Fluency in English.
