    Project Engineer(Fixed Term Contract)

    Purpose of Role:

    • Management and control of the execution of capital projects.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Manage multi-disciplinary teams across sales, planning, production, suppliers, and customers as the main point of contact from Handover (Initiation) to Project Closure, to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Establish, maintain, and actively manage a RADIO Log (Risks, Assumptions, Dependencies, Issues & Opportunities), clearing defining, tracking and closing project risks and issues.
    • Ensure contract compliance, manage variations and claims, project commercial positions by identifying contractual risks and opportunities early.
    • Proactively identify cost overruns, implement corrective actions, and provide accurate commercial reporting to management.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Engineering Degree - BSc Eng (Mechanical or Industrial), BEng Mechanical/Industrial or BTech Mechanical.
    • Project Management Certificate, PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification is an advantage.
    • Must demonstrate strong knowledge of SAP with basic knowledge of Project Systems module, Microsoft Project, Jira and/or Primavera.
    • Proven experience of managing projects in a multidisciplinary and complex engineering environment.

    Assistant: Casting

    Purpose of Role:

    • To prepare moulds on the casting bay ready for casting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety First:

    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

    Technical:

    • Mould control and arrangement
    • Clamping and sealing of moulds
    • Mould inspection
    • Control of pouring sheets and temperatures
    • Prepare ladles

    Operation:

    • Operate crane
    • De-slag furnaces
    • Maintain 5’s on the casting bay

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Matric (Grade 12); or 12 to 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Valid forklift license.
    • Overhead crane license

    Fettler

    Purpose of Role:

    • To fettle castings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety First:

    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

    Technical:

    • Cut runners and risers and remove other unwanted materials
    • Knock out runners and risers
    • Fettle castings according to required standards
    • Put runners and risers in correct material bins
    • Repair surface defects according to required standards
    • Move fettled castings to designated areas
    • Ensure that consumable stock items and equipments are maintained and report low stock levels to the Shift Leader

    Operation:

    • Stack items in allocated areas and in a safe manner
    • Achieve set production targets
    • Perform TPM checklists
    • Always adhere to Company policies and procedures, standard operating procedures and work instructions (SOPs and WI)
    • Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions
    • Always work according to efficiency standards
    • Identify any potential hazards and risks and report to the Shift Leaders
    • To adhere to required protective clothing rules and ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times
    • Attend compulsory safe start / green are meetings at the beginning of every shift
    • Adherence to quality control as per work instructions

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
