    Risk Management Loss Control Officer

    Purpose of the position:

    • To provide guidance, support and advice regarding risk, safety and compliance and to prevent loss and to respond to incidents and thoroughly investigate the incidents

    Duties:

    • Identify exposures and risks
    • Inspect, monitor physical security of assets/interests
    • Respond to and investigate incidents/complaints
    • Be available when required, including irregular hours
    • Compile accident, incident and investigation reports
    • Compile vehicle summaries, hours worked, weekly reports, and monthly reports
    • Handle enquiries and complaints
    • Assist with CCTV investigations
    • Dissemination and filing of reports
    • Standby list
    • Invoicing
    • WCA documentation

    Skills, experience and qualifications:

    • Matric
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
    • Relevant qualification
    • Security/SAPS/investigative experience
    • Computer literate
    • Valid driver’s licence
    • Valid passport

    Tyre Maintenance Controller

    Job Description
    TYRE MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER (PORT ELIZABETH)

    Overview: 

    • To take full control of the Tyre Bay functions including driving to various sites to carry out routine tyre maintenance, including tyre breakdowns, tyre surveys and preventative tyre maintenance

    Duties:

    • STOCK:
    • Ensure Tyre stock is locked and secured at all times.
    • investigate and report discrepancies daily.
    • Assist with monthly cycle counts.
    • Ensure sufficient stock on hand
    • TYRE SURVEYS:
    • Drive to sites where required.
    • Prioritise vehicle tyre surveys and maintenance by working of the fleet list
    • Conduct daily tyre surveys on the tyre management software provided
    • Ensure all vehicles are surveyed and tyre pressures are maintained including spare tyres
    • Spray spare wheel rims with red paint for easy Identification
    • Ensure that all wheel nuts are torqued, and wheel nut securing indicators are fitted.
    • Fit wheel nut indicators were missing.
    • Take photos of scrap tyre and add to tyre scrap sheet
    • Take photos of all tyres removed.
    • Submit daily updates to your supervisor
    • BRANDING OF TYRES:
    • Ensure all vehicles tyres are branded.
    • TYRE REPLACEMENT:
    • Identify and replace smooth tyres, punctured and damaged tyres as per SOP.
    • Ensure that the tyre change slips are completed accurately and timelessly.
    • BREAKDOWNS:
    • Ensure that the breakdown support vehicle is loaded with the correct size and quantity of tyres needed for the said breakdown.
    • Ensure that breakdowns are handled with priority and urgency
    • Ensure that breakdown report and change slips for tyres removed and fitted is completed.
    • Return damaged / punctured / smooth tyres back to depot and ensure paperwork is completed
    • COMPANY EQUIPMENT & ASSETS:
    • Keep tyre maintenance tablets locked away
    • Vehicle checklists must be conducted daily and submitted
    • Ensure that Vehicles are parked and locked when not in use.
    • Ensure vehicle keys are handed to your supervisor and locked away
    • Report all accident and damages of your vehicle to your supervisor.
    • Ensure that all tools and equipment are always in working order.
    • Submit tyre bay tool check list weekly
    • Report defective tools to your supervisor.
    • HOUSEKEEPING:
    • Always keep work area and company vehicle clean and tidy.
    • HEALTH AND SAFETY:
    • Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are conformed too.
    • Ensure the correct PPE are always used.
    • Report health and safety issues
    • GENERAL:
    • Ensure that you adhere to all company procedure and policies in respect of: SOP’s and Training.
    • Weekend work may be required from time to time.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12

    LOSS CONTROL OFFICER (EC)

    Overview:

    Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
    • Secretarial qualification
    • Security/investigative experience
    • Computer literate
    • Valid driver’s licence
    • Valid passport

    Senior Grain Grader - Zastron

    Main purpose of the position:

    • To provide support to the Silo Manager with regards to the operation of the Silo and determining the grade of commodities (grain) in a fair and ethical manner.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12;
    • 3 Years relevant experience;
    • Relevant post matric qualification an advantage;
    • Grain Grading courses successfully completed;
    • Experience in food safety an added advantage;
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Computer literate (MS Office);
    • Good interpersonal skills;
    • Strong physical health in order to do the work (to be able to climb the Silo etc);
    • Strong administrative skills;
    • Must be prepared to work long hours.

    Responsibilities:

    • Grading of Commodities (Grain);
    • Control over stock;
